The muscle car era has probably given us some of the most desirable and collectable cars in history. Even today, muscle cars can be seen and are still in high demand. They have a distinctive look with their wide profiles, sharp lines and plenty of chrome. Their looks are muscular and the V8 engines fast. Some

It is a mid size vehicle with a V8 engine and was produced between 1965 and 1973. The muscle car models had the added V8 engine and special trims. They usually handled better because they had optimal suspension and braking.
The first baby boom generation coincided with the muscle car era. At this time, WWII had just ended and the soldiers came home and before long there were babies being born everywhere. At this same time the cars of this time period were pretty conservative when it came to speed and styling.
The new baby boomers were attracted to the muscle car for two reasons. One being the price and the other was the power and speed. Before this if you wanted a faster car you had to have it custom built and that took a lot of time and money. This changed in 1964 when the Pontiac Tempest offered a GTO package that added a V8 engine and floor shifted transmission. It also had GTO badges and special trim.
In 1965, along came the Ford Mustang. The Mustang is technically called a Pony Car because it is small and compact with a big engine. However, they are usually put in the same category as a muscle car. During the first two years of production of the Mustang there were over 1.5 million models
There was always a demand for trucks with the comfort of a passenger car, or a passenger car with the load capacity of a truck. In response to this demand Ford released the Ranchero in 1957. To compete with Ford’s Ranchero, Chevrolet created the El Camino whose first release occurred in 1959. Over the years, Chevy has made several modifications to the El Camino to improve performance and style. Since Chevy stopped producing the El Camino in 1987, it has become a collectible classic. This essay will focus on several of the engine and body modifications that were made between 1957 and 1987.
The corvette was first introduced in January 1953. To experiment with the car, they only made 300 cars, which were all made by hand and powered by a 235-cubic-inch 6-cylinder engine. The corvette was designed to show the world that General Motors could make a sports car that was a stylish two seater. All 1953 corvettes were polo white with red interiors. The engine of the car generated 150 horsepower and had a 2-speed power glide automatic transmission. Researchers have found that the first corvette has been known to go over 150 miles per hour.
Muscle Car," two distinctive cars come to mind, the Camaro and the Mustang. Throughout the era of the early 1950's and 1960's, there was a revolutionary movement that took place and paved the ground work for today's "Muscle Cars" known as the "Ponycar Era." Ask any avid Camaro or Mustang fan about the ponycar era, and watch their pain. They will describe cars that would light the tires on fire, floor it, and hang onto the wheel excitement. Back in the 1960's a new idea was soon to hit the American market, the Ford Mustang. When the Mustang was introduced, General Motors soon to had to follow with their own type of sports car. The car they generated was know as the Chevrolet Camaro. The cars themselves were introduced within the matter of a few years of one another. From the day that General Motors and Ford realized that these cars were very similar in horsepower, torque, standards, and etc... they soon started to pit them against each other in an all out battle that has still last to present day. However, the Chevrolet Camaro has always had the slight advantage over the Ford's Mustang.
design made the car very strong and durable that is one main reason you see many
...est levels of sports car performance. As the first decade of the 21st century progressed, Chevrolet joined every other automaker in squeezing race track horsepower out of street-legal engines. The ZR1 Corvettes made during this generation were capable of speeds over 200 MPH, and cost over $100,000, so they were a bit of a change from the “cheap” car Corvettes were previously known for being. C7: The Return of the Stingray. Modern Corvettes are now achieving Ferrari racing status and power.Corvettes Are the Longest Running production Car Brand Ever. They are about $65,000 and usually look pretty nice. A really nice touch is that for an extra $800 you can drive your Corvette out of the Corvette museum with the staff clapping while you drive out.
Due to the growing prevalence of stock car racing, muscle cars came into power during the 1960s, which has become known as the Golden Age of Muscle. Lasting from 1960 to 1972, muscle cars enjoyed over a decade of power, and, regrettably, a four decade hibernation. In the past six years, muscle cars have reemerged in the form of the Charger, Challenger, Mustang, and Camaro. The new cars’ styling pays tribute to their Golden Age predecessors. This is the new muscle car age, with competition and corporate pride higher than ever.
Ferrari of today has gone through many cycles and strains upon the very framework of the company's existence, yet Ferrari still produces the fastest and classiest cars available publicly.
A Mark IV Toyota Supra and Chevy Camaro SS pull up at a red light on a lonesome stretch of flat road amongst a dimming blue sky; the drivers nod at one another, rev the engines, and jam the accelerator pedals. When two drivers try to outrace each other on public streets, automobile driving makes a turn into the illegal form of motor racing known as street racing. Several possible causes to this aggressive street driving include a recent release of movies that inspire racing by the desire to fulfill the adrenaline rush raging in young people, the overall convenience of street racing, and most importantly, a way for teenagers to achieve nobility status in a short a time.
The world of technology is ever changing and advancing. With the automotive industry in play technology is constantly surpassing what is available today with what can be done for tomorrow. Technology and the automotive industry go hand in hand with constant improvement to components of cars. Due to technology advancement there is competition within the car industry, especially between American car companies and European car companies. European car companies provide their buyers with innovative variety and revolutionary luxuries. European car technology is superior to American car technology due to their safety, entertainment, and luxury features.
In order to have a fast and efficient car all these things I have discussed need to be taken into consideration. A fast car should be designed with aerodynamic surfaces for a balance of maximum production of downforce and minimum drag creating surfaces. It should have as small an engine as possible to reduce mass and reduce the necessary size of the frontal area, but a large enough engine to be able to produce enough horsepower to be able to create more force than the resistance the car faces to accelerate and enough to balance with those forces at high speeds. The tires should be wide enough for fast acceleration and good cornering but not so wide it creates large amounts of rolling resistance. Your overall best example of such a car would be formula one races or Indy cars because they have to have good handling, fast acceleration and reach and maintain high speeds.
One of the major differences between the two is the type of engines they have. Most muscle cars have a V-8 or even a V-10 with a large displacement. These engines produce a large amount of horse power and create a lot of torque at the higher RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) range, but to fit these large engines, they need large cars to put them in. On the other hand, imports have a much smaller, inline 4 engine, and because it has a smaller engine, it can fit into a smaller car.
Electric cars have dated as far back as 1880, with the first model being mass produced in the later 1880’s. At early stages of automobiles, there were no clear benefits from either type of engine. In fact, a majority of cars in use at the time were electric. Steam and combustion engines were less developed and not as popular. Before the 1900’s an electric car held the land speed record for motor vehicles. (Bellis, 2014) As roads were built and the range that vehicles would need to travel increased, the need for a longer lasting vehicle rose. This is why at the turn of the century the popularity of gasoline powered engines arose. Electric vehicles were still valued for their short term transportation (within cities) and relatively easy use, but they began to lose prevalence as developments into combustion rose. Production for electric cars peaked in 1912 (Bellis, 2014) and saw a drastic decline since
I think that the target audience for these cars is the same. these cars are family cars. Both of the cars are designed to be comfortable and safe, they are not advertised to be fast sports cars. or stylish city cars; they are advertised as normal cars. In both of the adverts there is no real reference towards the performance of the car apart from in the Chrysler where there is a reference to the fuel.
Whether you are in the middle of a slow economy, or are on a shoestring budget, it's always a plus when you can reduce the overall costs for your car. While cheap car cover will obviously reduce the total costs of owning a car, you can further decrease the costs by saving money on the actual search for cheap car cover. Spending a small fortune when searching for cheaper car
The car owners these days are more into tinting of the car because they think it is one of the most popular upgrades. It is not only the security reason that is important but also the car has an increased value. The vehicle needs tinting but under the hands of a professional who will do a quality work. Why is car tinting useful? • When you drive a car you definitely would need a cool protection from the rays of the sun.
