If a local museum paid me to attract teens; I would have a lot of interesting activities planned. The activities would have to be appealing to the teenagers of course and they should be fun. The activities also should be educational and innovative. I would want them to bring out a person’s creativity and use their imagination. There could also be competitions and a prize for the winner of the activity. As a teen myself, I would find these type of activities very interesting and would want to try it myself.
Let’s say the local museum was an art museum; the activities would be art related and there could be activities based on some of the exhibits. They would have fun doing the activity while learning about the exhibits. There could also be group activities which would give teens experience of working with other people like in the real working atmosphere. Not only will these activities educate the teens; it will enhance their communication skills too. There could also be problem solving activities in which it will urge their minds to find a solution using their knowledge tha...
Having activities involving individuals with limitations or disabilities will raise awareness of the different types of disabilities. There also will put something positive back to the community. One of the organizations you can support is the Special Olympics where I am a participant. Are you ready to appreciate what you get than what you see? A person is more than their disability.
In every museum, each exhibition represents a series of decisions that some individual or group undertook to compile a series of artifacts together in a display. Often times people fail to recognize the amount of time and several steps one took in order to assemble each arrangement. Source A, source B, and source C each mention different, crucial considerations one mast take into account when facing the responsibility of securing a new artifact for a museum.
The Tampa Museum of Art was not always the same museum that we see today. It went through multiple stages throughout the years. The works vary, creating a large spectrum from the old to the new. The social angles change with the exhibits in the museum, combining to create the diversity we see today. Visiting this museum in person helped me to appreciate it even more than I would have thought possible. Observing and analyzing the other visitors helped me to understand the museum’s impact on the community more than I would have been able to just by reading about it. This museum is much different from others than I have visited.
The Haggerty Art Museum features an oil painting called Stizende mit Blumen, meaning “Seated Woman with Flowers” by Martel Schwichtenberg. This painting captures the peaceful elements and the complexity of nature. Schwichtenberg shares the importance of nature to those who admire it, but those who do not live in the moment when viewing the painting can overlook the meaning.
The teens are the group that you see the most when walking around. This specific group was seen walking in groups the majority of the time with three to five individuals in each group. This mall appeals to the teen ages with an AMC movie theater , where they can
Another activity you could create is a sledding type activity while one player pulls the other on a tarp or other item. When you get to the summer olympics you could recreate a track and field relay where athletes have a baton and run back and forth across the gym jumping over hurdles and or going under different obstacles in their path. After they have completed this athletes could compete with each other to shoot free throws with a basketball almost as a shot put. Two large changes I would make to the rallys are that people in the crowd could have more involvement, I know it is not possible for all students to be selected for the activities but even a quick game or rock paper scissors with your neighbors or the simon says game would help. The other change I would make comes to music! What is students could pick what music is played at rallys! We could set up a link or a poster with songs and students could vote on what
The mysterious smile of the painting Mona Lisa and her tenderness directly carry my imagination to the Renaissance era. Before the Renaissance liberated the thought of the public, most artworks focused to eulogize the holiness of God. The Renaissance successfully freed people from the shackles of theology and affirmed the value of human beings. Mona Lisa represented the highest art level of the Renaissance and became an important legacy for later generations to feel the spirit of the Renaissance. In this paper, I argue that Mona Lisa was a representative artwork of the humanism spirit of the Renaissance. The artist Da Vinci who created Mona Lisa managed to express the charm of human beings with delicate brushwork, exquisite expressions and
Funding for natural history museums and their work is very important; without natural history museums, the public would lack education about biology and the importance of it. There are natural history museums located all across the world and in some of the most well known cities. Some of these cities include New York City, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and London. Natural history museums have many different exhibits that serve various purposes (Funding, n.d.). The collections that are on display are used to educate and inspire visitors. The information that is on display is not only used to educate the public but it is used by a vast majority of people for research. Many other fields of work are able to use these collections to help with their research findings and expansion of knowledge. Some of these professions are writers for popular journals, law enforcement, ecologists, biologists, and anyone else who is interested in natural history (R&C, n.d.).
The start of the Renaissance ended the period in which we refer to as the Middle Ages. The Renaissance began in the 14th century, an age of great creativity and change in many areas. Classical ideas were modified, and political, social, economic, and cultural values were reborn as a result of the achievements of certain individuals. Occurring subsequently, the Reformation was an upheaval of beliefs in religious, political, intellectual, and cultural views that caused fragmentation in Catholic Europe. The era of the Renaissance and Reformation were a significant point in history which effectively ended the medieval period, creating a revolutionary departure from the Middle Ages. The Renaissance Period was a rebirth of ideas and concepts after the Middle Ages, the cultural movement focusing on art, history, and literature, all of which had a considerable impact upon Christianity.
Outdoor learning activities are beneficial for students’ health, including psychological, physiological. Outdoor learning activities offer students opportunities to move their
In the art community there is a lot of controversy in distinguishing what the difference between an artist and a designer. Designers are told they are not artist and they need to stop thinking they are artist. When dealing with art and design specific demographics and viewers interpret the messages of each subject in different ways. Art is said to be elucidated and design is said to be understood. Artists usually develop a work of art with the intention of bringing an emotion viewpoint, instinctive feeling, and or state of mind. When you look at an artist work it cannot be limited to just exhibiting one individual thought or just one individual meaning. That is a big difference when it comes to graphic design. Graphic design usually has a very specific goal and point to make. When dealing with graphic design there should not be any room or space for any mixed messages or multiple meanings. The audience of the design should immediately understand the design that the designer created. Art connects to people differently in so many ways. The only reason it connects to people in different ways is only because it is interpreted differently.
When looking to the past in an effort to quantify a metamorphoses in exhibition design, it is noted that the space itself exists under the veil of intellectualism. The viewer is understood to be an educated individual with an interest in a particular point in history. Moving forward, it is remarkable to discover how the display space itself has been reconsidered. This is due to advancements in media and our methods of communication. No longer is there a great divide between artifact and audience. Object and participant commingle in an energized space of synergistic union. Ultimately, this is a reflection of our exploding media culture. As technology advances and media continually reforms, exhibition design must reflect these newly anointed curators.
