Introduction
Apple Inc. is a multinational company, based in America, which innovate, develop and sell personal computer its software named Macintosh and various other products like the iPhone and the iPad. In 1976, Steve Jobs started the apple era and the business has grown rapidly to one of todays’ iconic inventors of consumer electronics. Despite the company operates in a wide field of products, Apple is handling every of their products as a separate business unit, but with a similar and recognisable design. This report will focus on Apples last invention, the iPad, and analysis its position within the market and future perspectives (Apple Inc., 2012).

Apple is a multinational company with strong financial backups. They own various other business units, which provide Apple a stable financial position. Due to Apples financial stability the company has enough working capital. Therefore Apple always was and still is able to open numerous store outlets worldwide. As one can see below Apples Net Sale is increasing enormously from $108,246 million in 2011 to $170,91 million in 2013 (Apple Inc., 2012).

2.1.2 Organisational Resources
As written in the annual report of the company, Apple has in total 416 stores spread out in thirteen countries. Further they are operating an online store, in each country they are located in, for their e-business sector. Concerning Apples world capitalization, Apples business is the largest publicly traded company in the world (Apple Inc., 2012).

...nd using them. At present times, without Steve Jobs, the world is watching Apple and its development. Therefore Apple is under pressure and needs to develop a strategy to continue Apple’s success. After Jobs’ leave, the company should focus on building up further expert teams and not just concentrating on senior management positions. Therefore the missing of Steve Jobs overall view could be compensated. Further Apple should concentrate on exactly those things they are good in it; Innovation. They should focus on developing new products and not only on value adding of already existing products like they did with the iPad generations. Further they should think about increasing strategic alliances with other firms. This could improve the compatibility with firm external software and devices and therefore stabilizing the firms’ competitive advantage.
