Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company with over 129,000 employees in 48 countries with over $15.5 billion in net revenues in 2005. Accenture was formerly know as Arthur Anderson and started conducting business under the name Accenture on January 1, 2001. Accenture is a Bermuda holding company with subsidiary, Accenture SCA, a Luxemburg partnership limited by shares. The Comp SCA. Accenture operates its business through subsidiaries of Accenture SCA (www.bigcharts.com). Committed to delivering innovation, Accenture collaborates with its clients to help them become high-performance businesses and governments. With deep industry and business process expertise, broad global resources and a proven track record, Accenture can mobilize the right people, skills and technologies to help clients improve their performance. The company's business is structured around five operating groups, which together comprise 18 industry groups serving clients in every major industry. The operating groups are Communications & High Tech, Financial Services, Government, Products, and Resources. Background Accenture's mantra is High Performance Delivered, meaning that our clients receive superior results; one of the main reasons Accenture has been successful is by having quality employees. Currently Accenture does not have a formal training program for its employees and sub- contractors. What I would like to be implemented at Accenture is a web-based training program on the company's internal portal (Web... ... middle of paper ... ...r productivity, and how comfortable they feel after completing the training program. Also how much new business is gained by the new audio/video capabilities that were implemented on the company's website? Initial effectiveness will be proven within a year of project implementation, only time will tell if the projects are a success. Conclusion Accenture has to be aware of the strategic opportunities faced by global corporations and of the threats that are posed to the company and planners must be aware of these challenges, to avoid negative consequences for the company.
