Our department service scores decreased for the month of October, Service Representatives (85.1%) and Nursing (78.1%). In order to promote excellent patient care and improve our department’s services scores, we must all adhere to using AIDET consistently every time with every patient. AIDET is a communication tool that has been researched and proven to improve customer service. It is a job requirement and an expectation that every employee uses AIDET for every patient/family encounter.
Effective immediately, any employee that is not performing at 90% in service, will be “service shadowed” by our management team. If the formal AIDET validation is not passed, this will be considered a performance issue that will lead to corrective action.

Los de Abajo, the realistic portrayal of those involved in the Mexican Revolution? After only reaching a small audience with serialised publications of Los de Abajo, the importance of the novel and author, Mariano Azuela, only became apparent in the 1920’s. The rugged nature of the narrative in the novel proved to be something different to the norm of the romanticised literature that had been published regarding the revolution. A testimonial view provided by an eyewitness account offered ‘mexicanidad’ and a realistic snapshot of life in that era. Azuela writes all from memory and draws from his real life witnessing of the Mexican revolution, thus all the characters are somewhat an indication to the people that were involved. Therefore it is

During the rest of this paper, I will go into more detail about the topics we discussed; and go more in detail with what I learned.

As a provider of care an AD nurse uses a systematic approach in all areas. Using the process of assessment, analysis, implementation, and evaluation the nurse is able to be consistent and efficient when providing care. As a provider of care the AD nurse must assess a patient’s health status, gather medical history, plan, coordinate, and implement care. The nurse will use continual assessment and evaluation in order to ensure the best outcome for the patient. The AD nurse must develop a therapeutic relationship with the patient in order to effectively treat and provide advocacy. During my clinical rotation I was able to implement many of these steps. I provided daily physical assessments, took vital signs, implemented hygiene care, fed patients, re-positioned patients and changed bed linens. During each shift I was respons...
The symbolism and imagery used in the short stories paints a vivid picture into the author’s train of thought. Charlotte Perkins Gilman and Shirley Jackson were not normal writers. The stories are a form of gothic writing. The skill mix created more supervisory role for registered nurse by taken them away from the bedside nursing care that patients needed.

“Effective communication is the foundation for any relationship in healthcare…” (Windover, Boissy, Rice, Gilligan, Velez, & Merlino. 2014) Without communication, it is challenging to get things done because no one knows what the other people in the group are thinking. For some, communication does not come naturally. For this reason, there are articles on how to be a better communicator. According to Karie Tennant, and Alisa Marquez, “communication is a two-way process” (2017). In this process one person should be the informer and the other needs to be an active listener. In order to be an active listener this person needs to provide the informer with feedback on what they just said. This way the informer knows the listener was really listening to what they said. The informer also has the job of making what they want to say clear and concise as well as having the correct tone to get the message across. It is always important for one to voice their opinion, but they need to also be respectful of others
