Evaluate the effectiveness of the ethics program after implementation: On the first Monday of every month, our ethics management and quality team sends out evaluation questionnaires to employees and associates in an effort to compile data. Furthermore, the team will pull all activities of active employees such as phone calls, online activity, and anything that pertains to their duty. Once all of the employees submit their responses and all of the activities have come through the system, the team then evaluates the results and creates an official monthly evaluation statement which is then presented at the monthly department meeting. At the meeting, the ethics management and quality team will then express concerns, praise on success, and offer some tips on improving certain areas. The importance of such evaluations is to enhance the presence of ethical behavior in the workplace, and minimize any chance of

Do you agree with Schmeltekopf that business schools are not preparing students well for the for the ethical challenges they will face in the workplace? Why or why not?
Management has a system in effect that will monitor the claims process and keep it working collectively for all employees. Each quarter, management will review the existing policies and procedures for ethics training and reporting and suggest areas for improvement. The use of the website for reporting claims of misconduct can also be used as a suggestion box. A link has been provided so that employees can anonymously make suggestions for the improvement of the ethics training system. Any reasonable suggestions will be given the utmost consideration and will be implemented upon the unanimous agreement of management. Programs found to be ineffective will be removed. The removal or implementation of programs will be discussed in training sessions so that trainee feedback can be taken into account, as well.
Ethics or rather morals entail mechanisms that defend, systematize as well as recommend conceptions of right or wrong. Many organizations develop ethical codes to ensure employees and employers understand the difference in doing good or bad. In that respect, ethics are an essential aspect of successfully running of any organization or government. Ethics ensure employee’s productivity levels are up to the required standards. It also assists them to know their rights and responsibilities. Additionally, employers, as well as any persons in management, are guided by them to ensure they provide transparent leadership. Ethics also defines how customers should be handled. Ethical codes govern the relationship between customers and an
Every organization has their own set of beliefs and culture. An organization cannot run without an effective leader making sound decisions. Ethics are moral principles based on right and wrong. According to Jones (2013), the sources of organizational ethics come from: society, professional, and individual. Society, professional, and individual are the three principal sources of ethical values and are vital to organizational effectiveness.
The term “ethical business” is seen, by many people, as an oxymoron. This is because a business’s main objective is to make as much money as possible. Making the most money possible, however, can often lead to unethical actions. Companies like Enron, WorldCom, and Satyam have been the posterchildren for how corporations’ greed lead to unethical practices. In recent times however, companies have been accused of being unethical based on, not how they manage their finances, but on how they treat the society that they operate in. People have started to realize that the damage companies have been doing to the world around them is more impactful and far worse than any financial fraud that these companies might be engaging in. Events like the BP oil
Many ethical dilemmas are philosophical in nature, an ethical issue can be described as a problem with no clear resolution. In order to solve the issue or dilemma a consensus between the parties involved must be reached. There are several reasons to come to an agreement over an ethical dilemma, it is the basis for all aspects of personal and professional dealings. Each one of us is part of a civilized society and as such it is our responsibility to be rational, honest and loyal in our dealings with others. (Alakavuklar, 2012) states that individuals make decisions for different situations in business life involving various ethical dilemmas. Each time either consciously or unconsciously individuals may follow some ethical approaches

The Facts: Kermit Vandivier works for B.F. Goodrich. His job assignment was to write the qualifying report on the four disk brakes for LTV Aerospace Corporation. LTV purchased aircraft brakes from B.F. Goodrich for the Air Force. Goodrich desperately wanted the contract because it guaranteed a commitment from the Air Force on future brake purchases for the A7D from them, even if they lost money on the initial contract.
One can say the foundation of business, government, and society is built on morals and ethics. Ethics can be defined as” the process of making moral decisions about individuals and their interactions in society while still attempting to protect the rights and welfare of those same individuals.”(Francis 2010) Morals can be simply described as the principals of right and wrong behavior that are agreed upon by society. Society generally base their morals from teachings originally found in religion. Most religions have different beliefs but luckily societies have similar morals that can often be the same throughout the world. Ethics can play a major role in the workplace integrity. For a workplace to have integrity one needs leaders who will create a workplace that fosters the development of high standards, demonstrates values of the organization, and uses ethical leadership. In recent years to be a supervisor of a workplace and carry out these duties have become more complex due to the issues of client rights, informed consent for the supervisee, on-site supervision by untrained supervisors, and multicultural issues. A supervisor who leads by ethical guidelines can help the workplace gain the most benefit from their supervision and provide the best care possible to the employees and also to the clients. A workplace that is ethical and professional can safeguard against risks to integrity such as improper conduct, misconduct and corruption.
This research paper is aimed towards understanding the corporate ethics and accountability at the Co-operative. The reason which gives this research a place is due to the ideologies and principles set out within the companies policies, the importance of corporate strategy and the goals and objectives give rise to this topic. When looking into a global company with a single reality its shareholders and staff should all share a similar sentiment to its core values and purpose, although whether acting as part of a tertiary sector or emphasizing fair trade the ethical foundation could be easily compromised from a differed opinion. The aims of this investigation is to compare and contrast the Co-operatives policies with another company of high sustain-ability value and decide from this whether it is extensive enough, also to apply some attention to how precise staff follow ethical policies from other companies to form a more in depth view. The reason for using these methods to gain the information is due to the reliability of forming an external view which can be applied to all companies, also with primary data being absent due to the companies recent losses being of focus it is the best available form of data.
A company's code of ethics is very important to establishing the expectations and quality of its brand. The code of ethics are concrete expectations for employee behavior, accountability and communicates the ethical policy of a company to its partners and clients. A good business practice is to have sound ethics. Having good ethical practice is knowing the difference between right and wrong and choosing what the right thing is. Though good ethical behavior is something that should be done automatically, a company needs to have a set of rules in place that holds everyone accountable. Over the last twenty years, the country has been bombarded with company scandals and unethical behavior; though morally wrong, the punishment does not fit the crime. The punishments have been overkill. A murderer, rapist, or child molester commits violent crimes and potentially is out of jail in 10 - 20 years. The CEO’s that commit white collar crime receive 25 years to life; this paper will discuss how this punishment for committing nonviolent crimes, such as breaching a company’s code of ethics, are disproportionate to violent crimes that plague the country today.
Never had I imagined that I would be involved in such a situation. In any work place, ethics are the base to have a work environment where employers and employees are motivated to do the best they can in order to increase the chance to have a productive and successful work environment. When hiring new employees, employers assume that employers would follow at least the basic ethical aspects that should be found in every premise. One of these aspects is the quality of work and productivity. When doing assigned tasks, workers should give the quality of work and productivity full consideration. Also, punctuality is an import ethic of work. The more punctual employees are, the more ethical and successful workplace you have. In addition to
My employees have a written guide to follow and they are equipped with the training to ensure that they are conducting themselves ethically. The strategies that I have created will help me develop as an ethical leader who has an ethical organization that lives and breathes its ethics and core values (Mind Tools, 2017). As a leader, I must demonstrate the highest moral standards and ethical conduct in my everyday talk, actions, decisions, and behaviors so that others in my organizations can follow suit (Toor and Ofori,
