The Peaceable Kingdom idea is based off of the Bible passage Isaiah, 11:6-8: “The wolf did with the lambkin dwell in peace. His grim carnivorous nature there did cease. The leopard with the harmless kid laid down. And not one savage beast was seen to frown. The lion with the fatling on did move. A little child was leading them in love.” This bible verse represents peace and togetherness. It instructs that the wolf and lamb, leopard and goad, cow and bear, lion and ox, infant and cobra, and child

You could’ve heard their laughs from a mile. They quickly started to build a snowman, to ride their sleigh or have a snowball fight. All the kids were outside playing, but a little girl of seven, with fair and wavy hair, down on her shoulders. Her deep brown eyes were sad, but he was quite pretty, even if she

Jack, at the age of sixteen (1892), worked as a watchman, joined a rough gang (in which he assumed the moniker “Sailor Kid”) and worked with the California Fish Patrol to help capture oyster pirates. I was well-behaved and never questioned my father’s authority, but at a young
