first impressions can be deceiving

It’s safe to say that first impressions are everything and sometimes end up being nothing. We tend to right away decide whether we like something or someone when in fact we haven’t given the time of day. We decide to instantly jump to conclusions that half of the time aren’t even close to correct. First impressions are very important, but most of the greatest impressions are there just too instantly grab our attention but as time pass those feelings of excitement fade away. They are temporary and false, that is why first impressions can be deceiving.
For example, if you see a well dressed and educated man your first impressions are that he’s charming, wealthy, and safe to talk to. In a heartbeat they always grabs your attention, But if you see someone dressed poorly and from the streets you automatically believe he’s dangerous, creepy looking and that it’s necessary to lock your car doors. Making it clear that a person’s outside really does take an effect on other people perspectives. For some reason our eyes tend to only see the outside of the person and we forget to think smart. When in reality those judgments could be completely vise versa. A person should be defined by their good intentions and kind personality not by their wardrobe. ‘Imperfection is beauty’- “Marilyn Monroe.” I believe in this quote because you will come across so many different people but the one that you judge at first sight at the end will become your best friend. As good people it is vital to keep in mind that a person’s outside appearance does not reflect the value of a good heart

...tire scams. Either if it was about a person or an object we’ve committed the crime of not giving it a chance to prove us wrong. We’ve let these first impressions take control of us when we shouldn’t be easily fooled. Someone’s appearance leads us to think wild accusations and thoughts that at times are entirely false. Being introduced to someone and having a twenty second conversation helps us make up our mind on whether he or she was awesome or not. A pretty cover and loud spoken title of book is all it takes for us to pick it up. All these are examples of the mistakes we continue to make and only by remembering that first impressions are deceiving can we live life to fullest. A life full of being open minded and doing spontaneous things, a life where you do what most don’t and that is to step out and actually give someone or something a chance to prove you wrong.
