• Introduction o I’m going to tell you about some aspects of my life so maybe you can get a clearer picture of me. o This presentation will mainly focus on things I am very passionate about. • Piglet o The first thing in my bag is a stuffed Piglet from Winnie the Pooh because not only is he my favorite Winnie the Pooh character, but he also represents my favorite animal. o I’ve loved Piglet since I was a little kid. o One time when I was still crawling around my family went to Disneyland, and I saw a walk-around Piglet. The character was going behind a fence to take its break so I started crawling behind the gate. o I feel like this was foreshadowing of the fact that I get attached to things I enjoy. • Cali o This is a picture of one of my cats …show more content…
and her name is Cali. o She was the first cat I got to pick out and she’s been with me for many years.
o She’s even been through my family’s moving adventures from California to Illinois, and then Illinois to Arizona. o My family has 4 cats in total so they are a big part of my life. o Even though we have so many cats I still love dogs and other animals a lot. • Yoshi Amiibo o Yoshi from the Super Mario Brothers franchise is my favorite video game character of all time. o My parents were never too fond of video games so my first system was a Nintendo DS Lite. phone. o My phone also helps aid my fantastic habit of procrastinating. o Even though I waste a lot of time on my phone scrolling through social media, it has helped me make some pretty cool friends. o I use my phone to listen to music whenever I can. • Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge o This album is by one of my favorite bands My Chemical Romance. o I picked this item because it represents my love for early 2000s rock and pop punk. o I’ve loved listening to music ever since I was a little kid. o When I was 8 my parents bought me an iPod Classic and I would just sit listening to music all day long. o These days, I still love listening to music whenever I get the opportunity to. • Conclusion o This hopefully gave you an idea of what I enjoy and what my life is like. o As you were able to see I really like animals, video games, and music. o These are things that shape who I am. For example, because of my love for animals I try to use cruelty free makeup whenever I can. I’m thinking about pursuing a career in technology or video games. Music has been able to influence the way I look at the world and my emotions. o Those are some of my interests that I’m passionate about.

Video games are much more than just a way to pass time. It is an opportunity to experience new people and social environments, find out interests and skill sets, and to also, in an extreme case, find a career like Markiplier has done. In short I just wanted to say that I wouldn’t be where I am with my goals today if it weren’t for Markiplier’s ability to make his fans see his support of their dreams and the highlight of the most important things in reaching your goals of which include taking chances, believing in yourself, and never giving up. In the words of Mark, “never give up, no matter what may set you back, and know that at the end of the road, you’re going to have something that you can be proud of.” Don’t stop until you’re where you want to be, and even then just keep moving
Pew. Pow. Pew. Pew. The sounds blasted from my Nintendo Gameboy. I was sitting alone in my room in the darkness. The small screen of the Gameboy seemed to light up the room as I played. I was playing none-other than my favorite game of all time, Pokemon. More specifically I was playing my very first Pokemon game, Pokemon Silver. Ever since I had gotten it for Christmas I had been playing it whenever I could find the time. My mother had to rip the Gameboy out of my hands just to get me to do anything else but as soon as I did as she requested I went right back to playing.
As a college student, it has become increasingly difficult to enjoy playing video games. With all of the work piled onto me each and every day, I get lucky to spare a few hours to play every once and a while.
Videogames are amazing they promote creativity, team-work and social interaction. Video games actually work to increase how good your eyesight is. One study done by scientist’s Daphne Bavelier and her team found that playing five to fifteen hours of action games (e.g., Call of Duty) a week increased how good the participants vision was in two ways "The first way is that they 're actually able to resolve small detail in the context of clutter… The other way that they are better is actually being able to resolve different levels of grey”. Sure games have violence in them but honestly what doesn’t, films and TV are chock full of it, heck even Tom and Jerry promote violence and animal abuse plus there is a reason that those big shiny red “18” stickers are put on games so that it is clearly shown that children aren 't supposed to be given access to these specific types of game. As for the “waste of time” nothing is really a waste of time if you gain something from it such as
Pokemon is actually short for Pocket Monsters, a Japanese video game created by Nintendo. When it comes to sales and popularity, Pokemon games sit beside Nintendo flagship character, Mario. If the famous Mario is a 80s craze, Pokemon has conquered the 90s and beyond. Its popularity among video gamers has increased drastically since the first gamed was released in 1996. Right now, there are still a lot of Pokemon games followers.
This interest never left me, it just grows and keep growing. After finishing high school, I was so interested in pursuing my tertiary education with something computer related and I had studied Diploma in Computer Science. It was a very great exposure towards the computer systems. During my studies, like everyone else I never forget my console and games. Play Station 3, Play Station Portable and even I had joined Garena Online to battle with other gamers around Asia. Well, not many of them were girls so I just kept my identity with some kind of...
I have been playing video games for as long as I remember. I started by playing the original Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo Entertainment System with my older brother and sister. I’ve stayed up way past my bedtime in elementary school playing Pokemon on my Gameboy. I continue to play video games even today, from the Wii to the Xbox and even on my computer. Being this avid and long-time gamer, I became curious about the effects that video games have on people like me. And so, I did some research
There are not that many people who fit that description." -Shigeru Miyamoto. Ever since I was a little kid I was interested in video games. I wouldn 't say I was ever addicted to them, although I do play video games quite frequently, but ever since I saw my friend pick up a GameCube controller I was interested in the way video games work. Video games fascinated me, I wanted to understand how they operated and how they were made. That curiosity holds to this day, I want to understand how the technical aspects work, how to code them, and about the games as an art form. That same drive and curiosity drives me today, and I want to create new experiences so that other people can have the same wonder and enjoyment I have when I play video
I have a love for cats. Ever since I was a teenager I always wished for a cat of my own. When I moved in a three story apartment in California, the Manager of the complex said that cats were allowed in the units. I mentioned to my Aunt at the time that I was searching in the newspapers under advertisements for cats wanted. One cool breezy evening, my Aunt called me and said that a friend of her's named Judy had a cat named Katie who did not get along with her other two cats. So I agreed to meet with Judy to see if I'd love to adopt Katie.
Having a pet is a wonderful idea. Pets bring companionship, personality, and gut wrenching humor to households across the world. Having previously owned both a cat and a dog, and currently being without a pet, I began to think about getting a new furry friend. Born a dog lover, and bred into a cat lover, I had the difficult decision of choosing one of the two.
Video games are becoming the norm in today’s society for entertainment, business, and advancement of technology. Countless people with their devices such as smartphones, laptops, and tablets have downloaded video games and played it numerous times in their daily schedules. There is an estimate of fifty-one percent of the world that owned a game console at home such as PlayStation, Xbox, and WiiU. Forty-four percent of smartphone holders today play games on their mobile, while thirty-three have played on other wireless devices like PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS. It became second nature for people to play video games when they’re seeking leisure time to boost their amusement from boredom. However, video games had led to the rise of negative impact for education because people strongly believe that they are a complete distraction from studies and a waste of valuable time. Kids are absorbed into the games which caused them to be absent from reality and time, as they find themselves engrossed into the virtual world. Although video games are meant solely for entertainment, many researchers and game companies over two decades have found ways to apply them to education with the benefit of students being better focused on their subjects and the learning process.
Both dogs and cats are good for companionship, because they are both very sweet, loveable. However dogs have a much more need for attention, dogs constantly want to be played with, and sometime aggravate their owner until they get what they want. On the other hand, cats pretty much like to stay to themselves. Some cats may stay away during the day time and only come out at night. Dogs sleep pretty much at night while some cats are up all night.
My brother saved up and bought a Nintendo Entertainment System when I was about four years old. Early on I was exposed to classic games like Super Mario Brothers, The Legend of Zelda, Kung Fu, and Mega Man. I most identified with The Legend of Zelda, as I had similar fantasies growing up that the creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, had running around as a child, exploring the world, and imagining fighting various monsters. This desire for adventure, seeking treasure and magical items, and fighting to save the world, led me to Role-Playing Games or RPGs for short. RPGs have long been my favorite genre, due in part to many complex and rich stories, as well as some of the best soundtracks I have ever listened to.
