A dog or cat can be a wonderful addition to any home. They are both very sweet and loveable pet to have. But these two pets could not be more different from each other in a few respect: the amount of attention that is needed, grooming care, and bathroom usage.
Both dogs and cats are good for companionship, because they are both very sweet, loveable. However dogs have a much more need for attention, dogs constantly want to be played with, and sometime aggravate their owner until they get what they want. On the other hand, cats pretty much like to stay to themselves. Some cats may stay away during the day time and only come out at night. Dogs sleep pretty much at night while some cats are up all night.

However bathing a dog requires, having to give it a bath or taking it to the groomers. A dog’s nail must be cut to keep them trimmed for proper care. Unlike cats who are self-sufficient at licking them self-clean. Cats also trim their own nails by using a scratching post.
Both pets have to defecate throughout the day; like both pets, in order to maintain a healthy pet you must keep their bathroom area kept clean. Dogs need to be let outside several times throughout the day to use the bathroom. The owner will need to go outside rain or shine and clean up after the dog has defecate about three times a week. Cats defecate themselves in a litter box in doors. Do to the fact that the letter box is indoors one might want to clean this daily so the order doesn’t get bad throughout the entire home.
There are the many differences and similarities between the most popular household pets, dogs and cats. These pets really do make a wonderful addition to the family; but, before you decide on which pet to bring home think about the different attention, grooming care, and bathroom usage for each of these pets, to make sure you are able to provide proper care for your pet.
