A dog or cat can be a wonderful addition to any home. They are both very sweet and loveable pet to have. But these two pets could not be more different from each other in a few respect: the amount of attention that is needed, grooming care, and bathroom usage.
Both dogs and cats are good for companionship, because they are both very sweet, loveable. However dogs have a much more need for attention, dogs constantly want to be played with, and sometime aggravate their owner until they get what they want. On the other hand, cats pretty much like to stay to themselves. Some cats may stay away during the day time and only come out at night. has hair, it belongs to the mammal kingdom. This means that they give birth to their young. They also drink milk when they are babies. Another similarity that these animals share is that they are domesticated animals kept as pets. Another very obvious difference between dogs and cats is that dogs are usually bigger than a cats. Dogs are also somewhat smarter than cats in the area of verbal command. For example, you can call your dog by name and he or she will usually come to you, unlike a cat. Also, you can train dogs to do tricks when commanded. Some of the most commonly seen tricks in dogs are fetch, shake hands, sit down, and lie down. Cats don’t typically perform tricks. Each of these pets require some care, like fresh food and clean water daily, and a bath.
However bathing a dog requires, having to give it a bath or taking it to the groomers. A dog’s nail must be cut to keep them trimmed for proper care. Unlike cats who are self-sufficient at licking them self-clean. Cats also trim their own nails by using a scratching post.
Both pets have to defecate throughout the day; like both pets, in order to maintain a healthy pet you must keep their bathroom area kept clean. Dogs need to be let outside several times throughout the day to use the bathroom. The owner will need to go outside rain or shine and clean up after the dog has defecate about three times a week. Cats defecate themselves in a litter box in doors. Do to the fact that the letter box is indoors one might want to clean this daily so the order doesn’t get bad throughout the entire home.
There are the many differences and similarities between the most popular household pets, dogs and cats. These pets really do make a wonderful addition to the family; but, before you decide on which pet to bring home think about the different attention, grooming care, and bathroom usage for each of these pets, to make sure you are able to provide proper care for your pet. Having a pet is a lot of hard work, but in the long run it’s very
rewarding.
Dogs tend to be more loving and caring than cats are. They love you no matter what whereas cats will scratch you or sometimes bite. Dogs help you stay active better than cats which helps you stay positive and healthy. They need walks and need to go outside to play lots which gets you going on daily walks and get you into that healthy routine. Having a dog starts a great positive conversation starter with new people you meet as they probably have owned one, own one currently, or they just think that they are cute. The topic of cats usually starts a negative conversation since there are not many people who like cats. Cats as a topic can also cause arguing between some people especially if one person is a cat person and one is a dog

Pets are becoming not only just a pet but an actual family member instead. Everyone who has a pet must take their animals to a veterinarian to assure that it will live a happy healthy life. Have you ever wondered exactly what all a veterinarian does throughout days? I can assure everyone that the life of a veterinarian is not as easy as it may seem. Veterinarians must care for the sick and healthy animals. Not only must they diagnose problems animals pay be having they must also treat them. Veterinarians also must give preventative medications to animals mainly earlier in animal’s lives but check ups also. Animals, just like humans must have test ran on them if needed or x-rays if needed. When animals are in need of surgery of any kind, veterinarians are the one who perform the surgery with the assistance of their technicians. When animals are having surgery a veterinarian is also the one who must give them their anesthesia for surgeries and they are responsible for waking them up much takes much caution. Not all a veterinarians’ work is hands on. Some of their work is over the phone advising pet owners with information when needed. For example, birthing, feeding, abnormal behaviors, or breeding are all topics a veterinarians may have to assist pet owners with (Chronicles Guidance Publications). Just as a Doctor is to a human, a veterinarian is to an animal. Only animals cannot talk so a veterinarian must be able to observe normal and abnormal animal behaviors. All veterinarians have a list of different tasks that occupy work hours day by day. No day will ever be repeated twice!
Dog grooming refers to the complete hygienic care and cleanliness of dogs. It is sometimes done with the use of dog grooming supplies. It can also point to the process of enhancing a dog's physical appearance for competition or show purposes. Dog grooming actually involves the overall cleanliness and beauty of your pet canine. It basically includes combing and brushing of its hair, trimming of its nails, brushing of its teeth and bathing its entire body.
These dogs are also used as companions for their owners, or whoever they help. According to the book “Praise for A Big Little Life”, most dogs, including the main dog in this story, are taught things that you wouldn’t imagine they could do on command. If a person in a wheelchair needed their dog at all times and they didn’t have time to let their dog out to go to the bathroom, the dog will go to the bathroom on command so that the owner can keep track of the dog at all
Dogs are extremely lovable and the only thing in life that they want is to be loved by their owners. With dogs, everything in life revolves around love and affection. The only thing that is on a cats mind is food and what they
When you talk to pet owners about owning a cat versus a dog, it stirs up much controver-sy in many ways. By looking at both cats and dogs, the cat outweighs the dog in many ways, which makes the cat the superior selection when making a final decision on which one to get. Cats have very desirable qualities that make them an award winning choice to many owners. The qualities that appeal to most are the ability of the cat to live in small spaces, they do not eat large amounts of food for their meals, and they are very sedentary and independent in nature making them a low maintenance pet. One additional desired feature is cats are well suited for owners that have a very busy lifestyle and minimal time to give to their pet. This added feature
Most homeowners normally have pets at home. You will realize that these pets normally provide companionship to their owners. Some of the common pets that are kept by most homeowners include: dogs, cats and so on. Pets are wonderful creatures. They require to be trained from time to time. Most people usually prefer keeping a dog as a pet.
Pets are a common sight in many households today. In fact, according to the APPMA National Pet Owners Survey, 63 percent of U.S. households own a pet. At the top of this percentage are dogs and cats. One of the most important decisions an owner of a dog or cat has to make is whether or not to get them spayed or neutered. There are various reasons why people choose to not have this done, but all those reasons can be proven invalid. Many factors come in to play as why this is such an important thing to do. The effects of dogs and cats not being spayed or neutered has become such a major issue that it should be a law that all pet owners have to get their pet spayed or neutered.
Having a pet is a wonderful idea. Pets bring companionship, personality, and gut wrenching humor to households across the world. Having previously owned both a cat and a dog, and currently being without a pet, I began to think about getting a new furry friend. Born a dog lover, and bred into a cat lover, I had the difficult decision of choosing one of the two.
Dogs and cats are the most popular pets in the whole world. Even though they’re both very popular, they are different in many ways. Some people gravitate towards the calmness of a cat, while others seek the companionship of a dog. Cats are a lot more independent and less expensive. Cats don’t require nor do they want to be trained to be a house pet. Dogs on the other hand are very loyal and will act as your best friend. Dogs require more attention and training to be a well behaved family member. The main differences between dogs and cats are their personalities, habits, and training, which all determine what pet to choose.
A dogs behavior is significantly more desirable than a cats. A dog is loving and friendly most of the time and enjoys a good belly rub as a reward. If you try and scratch a cats belly, the cat will try to scratch and bite you. A dog is incomparably easier to train than a cat. You can teach a dog to do anything from bringing you your newspaper to the simplest command, sit. As a result of being able to train a dog, a dog goes to the bathroom outside, leaving no stench behind in your house. Whereas, a cat uses a litter box to go to the bathroom, there is always a stench in your house. Dogs are also far better with children. Dogs form a far greater bond with newborn babies, and often times do not leave the child’s crib side. Also, a trained dog will not cause destruction to your house, while you cannot train a cat to not use their sharp little claws to tear at the side of your couches, and rip and shred all the way down your curtains. Dogs also do not jump places where most cats jump, such as in your lap on your laptop, or on your dinner table at dinner. A dog won’t be a surprise first thing in the morning laying in your bathroom sink either. A dog will lay nex...
