Dogs, without a doubt, are better than cats. For thousands of years this point has been proven, time and time again. We hear about amazing things that dogs do everyday for people across the globe, but the question is, what do you hear about cats? The fact of the matter is, cats suck. Cats have been and always will be selfish, arrogant, greedy, and self centered jerks. Dogs, however, will continue to forever be loyal, devoted, true, and selfless. While both cats and dogs have their own purposes in life, whether it be love or playfulness, dogs portray what the definition of a true best friend is, and cats portray what the perfect enemy is, terrible and atrocious. The number one reason that dogs are better than cats is they can make you laugh
The cat rubbing up against your leg isn 't looking for love, its simply looking for smelly treat that you might give it just in case that maybe it does something good in its life, which lets be honest here, never happens! These animals don 't love you they want you to know they own you, your wrapped around their tiny little paws. Not only do these feline enemies tug on your delicate heartstrings but they love to rip out the hearts of innocent little creatures like chipmunks for fun. “Cats are natural born hunters. A 2013 study revealed that each year, domestic cats kill 20.7 billion smaller animals, including mice, chipmunks, voles and 3.7 billion birds. Cats are actually the number one killer of these animals.Cats spend one-third of their day just killing animals, and they don’t even do it because they’re hungry. They do it because they feel like it. They murder just to murder, like the genocidal barbarians that they are.” (LaFata) Even with these statistics staring avid cat lovers in the face, some will still say that cats are loved more than dogs, that is false. Dogs are extremely lovable and the only thing in life that they want is to be loved by their owners. With dogs, everything in life revolves around love and affection. The only thing that is on a cats mind is food and what they
be trained, unlike the cat. But it's not the subject of comparing a dog and a cat.
Not everyone is fond of cats, and this negative opinion has been expressed by many
But like an exception to every stereotype, my experience with a human –animal relationship is also an exception. When I was twelve, I received a pair of kittens as my birthday gift. I was never an animal lover so I wasn’t too excited to receive it. But as the days went by, spending time with them developed a soft corner for them. Unlike dogs, with cats it’s more of a give and take relationship. You have to spend time with them and show them you care for them to be able to reciprocate the same care and concern for you. The more time I spent with them, the more founder and inseparable I grew of them.
They are cute; they are loveable and judging by their 26 billion views of over 2 million YouTube videos, of them, pouncing, bouncing, climbing, cramming, stalking, clawing, chattering and purring, one this is very certain, CATS ARE VERY ENTERTAINING.
Cats can be very lazy but dogs are not very lazy. Dogs can be fun and active while cats just like to sleep most of the time . Dogs are very smart and cats aren’t super smart dogs can find there way back home cats don’t really remember where they live by heart.Cats aren't that helpful dogs are helpful because when people can't do something or have a disability dogs will help those people.
Most people are familiar with the general claim dogs hate cats. We are reminded of this in advertisements, cartoons, and children’s jokes. We are familiar with the phrase “fighting like cats and dogs”. We may even classify ourselves as either a dog person or a cat person. But there are many people who have equal fondness for both dogs and cats. It is within these homes that the general claim dogs hate cats proves false. Not all dogs hate cats.
Cats and dogs are fun to play with and fun to be around. However, some people go for snakes, birds, or rodents; most people usually prefer a four-legged animal like a cat or dog. Dogs and cats share seldom similarities, but they 're totally different. They have different attitudes, habits, and needs. Wanting love, loyalty, and protection, a dog is a choice. Cats, on the other hand, don 't need attention nor love. Sometimes do we take advantage of our animals because of their size and vulnerability? Beating, improper care, and use of fighting, causes harm to our furry pets. Inflicting pain and making our animals suffer is atrocious. Because our animals can 't speak for themselves, we need to speak for them and stop animal abuse.
A growing number of studies have attempted to support the theory that cats and dogs differ in their personality attributes. Several common factors have emerged across these studies, such as difference among social behaviours. Higher levels of dominance and hostility have been reported among domestic cats (as cited in Fonberg, 1985). Not surprisingly, domesticated dogs are higher in submissive behaviours (as cited in Marder, 1989). Woodward et al. also reflect upon previously held theories of companion animal attachment that suggest attachment is mediated by the needs of the owner and the characteristics of their pet.
their love is needed. Finally cats’ soft fur and purring is known to comfort someone when they
... and faithfulness that cannot be found from any other source. Even the most hardened of hearts can be touched by a cold wet nose or a comforting snuggle. Pets seem to be able to recognize and adapt to many of the conditions placed on them in our human environment. They can provide the sense of companionship, and love that is lacking in regular human relationships.
Having a pet is a wonderful idea. Pets bring companionship, personality, and gut wrenching humor to households across the world. Having previously owned both a cat and a dog, and currently being without a pet, I began to think about getting a new furry friend. Born a dog lover, and bred into a cat lover, I had the difficult decision of choosing one of the two.
Dogs and cats are the most popular pets in the whole world. Even though they’re both very popular, they are different in many ways. Some people gravitate towards the calmness of a cat, while others seek the companionship of a dog. Cats are a lot more independent and less expensive. Cats don’t require nor do they want to be trained to be a house pet. Dogs on the other hand are very loyal and will act as your best friend. Dogs require more attention and training to be a well behaved family member. The main differences between dogs and cats are their personalities, habits, and training, which all determine what pet to choose.
A dogs behavior is significantly more desirable than a cats. A dog is loving and friendly most of the time and enjoys a good belly rub as a reward. If you try and scratch a cats belly, the cat will try to scratch and bite you. A dog is incomparably easier to train than a cat. You can teach a dog to do anything from bringing you your newspaper to the simplest command, sit. As a result of being able to train a dog, a dog goes to the bathroom outside, leaving no stench behind in your house. Whereas, a cat uses a litter box to go to the bathroom, there is always a stench in your house. Dogs are also far better with children. Dogs form a far greater bond with newborn babies, and often times do not leave the child’s crib side. Also, a trained dog will not cause destruction to your house, while you cannot train a cat to not use their sharp little claws to tear at the side of your couches, and rip and shred all the way down your curtains. Dogs also do not jump places where most cats jump, such as in your lap on your laptop, or on your dinner table at dinner. A dog won’t be a surprise first thing in the morning laying in your bathroom sink either. A dog will lay nex...
Both dogs and cats are good for companionship, because they are both very sweet, loveable. However dogs have a much more need for attention, dogs constantly want to be played with, and sometime aggravate their owner until they get what they want. On the other hand, cats pretty much like to stay to themselves. Some cats may stay away during the day time and only come out at night. Dogs sleep pretty much at night while some cats are up all night.
Two Ways of Viewing Cats and Dogs Cats and dogs share several similarities, but they are very different. These two animals are two of the most popular pets today. Through the various aspects of each animal, we will look at the similarities and differences each one holds, and get a better insight as to why these animals express such love.
