Some said it maybe cliché to have your childhood experiences as your points to derive you to plan your future. Well for me it is never an ending possibilities to have a childhood experienced that will determine you to get what you really want. From an early age I have always been deeply interested in gaming. I was the only girl in the family that really into games and computer systems. I can always remember the feeling of wanting to know just how the games were developed and design, how the console and system works and what else they could do. This interest never left me, it just grows and keep growing. After finishing high school, I was so interested in pursuing my tertiary education with something computer related and I had studied Diploma in Computer Science. It was a very great exposure towards the computer systems. During my studies, like everyone else I never forget my console and games. Play Station 3, Play Station Portable and even I had joined Garena Online to battle with other gamers around Asia. Well, not many of them were girls so I just kept my identity with some kind of...
Everyone at one point has to make a decision on what they want to be when they grow up. For me, that decision came rather unexpectedly and was a result of a new found interest due to self-discovery. It all began when I was around the age of 8 and I watched a documentary on aircraft. It documented all about planes, how they work and the science behind them. I was immediately captivated and gaining all that information as a young child really hit the spot in terms of a new found passion and interest that I could see myself later using. This passion stuck with me ever since as I have spent tons of spare time studying different types of aircraft and collecting model planes. It ultimately helped me with my answer to the question of what I wanted to be when I grew up as being an aeronautical engineer. It is not a career most would pursue, but it shows how self-discovery impacted me at a very young age and the impact is so log lasting that it has influenced most of the decision I make now in terms of courses I take at school and the extracurricular activities I am a part of. Without self-discovery, I was able to gain an understanding of where my interests lay, the abilities I have to acquire complex information and the feelings I had towards my new found interest and
When I was younger, my favorite game to play was Minecraft. The game was a fun way to express myself and to make decisions like “It’s getting dark, maybe I should start heading home so I can sleep in my bed and avoid the mobs” and that’s most likely why I loved the game so much. I had the opportunity to do whatever I wanted and if I made a mistake the only consequence was to press “respawn” pretty simple right? At the time, yes, but as I matured and became curious, I wondered, could an online game possibly be the definition of life? Can something so many look for yet don’t find be right in the palms of my hands? Could Minecraft, a game that is made for children be the answer to a question asked for centuries?
I remember a time in my life when I would always play with little children. At that point, at the age of six or seven, I decided to become a pediatrician or a kindergarten teacher. When I started high school, I started feeling stressed out because of the pressure that I was doing to myself to reach my goal of becoming a pediatrician. I could hardly focus on the topic we would have during class because I would be thinking about my future as a pediatrician. With the help of my friends, they helped me overcome the obstacles that I had. The more I thought about what profession I wanted to be, I thought about how much I loved working and dealing with computers. My friends and cousins told me that I should and can be what ever I wanted, and that helped me decide to major in computer engineering at San Jose State University. So you see when it comes down to life, dreams are not the only thing that can keep men going, friendships, pets and companionships can do the same.
When at its nascent stage, the video game industry focused on enticing adolescents by installing gaming systems at recreation centers and malls. With advanced technological enhancements, it became conceivably easier to reach out to other consumers through advanced gaming consoles that were now focused on disseminating to families at their homes. These preliminary gaming consoles were proprietary, permitting the gamers to indulge in games that were developed predominantly for these consoles. Although, the inception of using Personal Computers (PCs) for gaming purposes altered hindered this exclusiveness of gaming, the evolution of the video game industry remained unabated.
Video games have been an activity for people to come together and do something they enjoy. Video games does a very effective job of bring people together that have the same interest, and giving them a sense of
As a child I always looked forward to what was coming next. Growing older was an exciting, I knew this would lead to more responsibility. A defining moment in my life was when I decided that I wanted to be an athletic trainer when I grow up. I knew I wanted to be athletic trainer because I want to stay in the athletic field once I finish my athletic career. For me there is no better job than one that I can interact with athletes on a daily basis and help them prevent injuries. It's hard for me to say where I'll be in the years to come, already my life has strayed from the path I once thought it would follow. However, that doesn't change my motivation or determination to reach and excel at my personal goals. My whole life I've endured a system that dictated what should be important to me, and while it's helped me learn the practical skills I need outside of an academic setting, I have a passion to grow further from what's expected of me, and so with much enthusiasm I look forward to attending college in which I hope to achieve more by constantly learning and expanding my personal knowledge.
During my transition from childhood to adulthood, I have learned and accomplish many things within my education, community, and family. My transition from childhood to adulthood education made me come into reality that everything can’t be done for you and that you have to stay more focused and organized if you want to be somewhere five to ten years from now. My growth in the things that I do in my community such as church and basketball summer leagues made me realize that it is all right to participate and help out for the positive things in my community. In my family, my transition from childhood to adulthood help me to become a more mature and knowledgeable person.

Most children seem to have ideas of what they would like to be when they grow up. The average person walking into any kindergarten class today would find future teachers, lawyers, doctors, nurses, astronauts, firefighters, and ballerinas; the list is endless. I never had the chance to even dream about what I wanted to be when I grew up and was given little chance to develop my own tastes and ideas towards this goal. I spent my childhood trying to be the good example to my younger brother and sister that my father demanded in his letters. All the while I was hoping and praying that my mother and father would get back together. The only thing I knew was being a mom and that is what I thought I wanted to be.

I was dumbfounded to know that games are nothing but programs. Curious to know how to program I developed a serious interest in Computers. This keen interest in mathematics along with a strong liking for computers, and particularly programming, prompted me to choose engineering with Computer Science as my major. This decision gave me ample opportunity to consolidate my creative energies and harness my technical
When I played my first video game, I was fascinated by it. It was like traveling to a different world where anything was possible. As I became more and more interested in video games, I wondered how they were made. I learned that animation was a large part of how a video game is made. So from then on I knew that I wanted to be an animator, preferably in the video game business. Based on the research that I have done, I think that a career in animation would be right for me, because it is in a field that I enjoy, the hours can be very flexible, and the pay is very good.
