CRISIS MANAGEMENT
A crisis can be defined as an extraordinary event, disclosure, or set of circumstances that threatens, or is perceived to threaten, the welfare of one or more staff, customers and stakeholders, or the integrity, objectives and reputation of the organisation. Crisis management is the application of strategies designed to help an organization deal with a sudden and significant negative event. (Janes, T 2010)
There are three main elements that are common to a crisis:
- A threat to the organization
- The element of surprise
- Short decision time.
Unlike risk management which involves planning for events that may or may not occur in the future, Crisis management involves dealing with threats before during and after they have
Crisis intervention addresses acute problem situations and can help the individual discover an adaptive means of coping with a particular life stage, tragic occurrences or problem that generates a crisis situation. On the other hand, coping is defined as an action or set of actions that is employed to deal with a stressor (Laube, as cited in Dziegielewski 2004).

Below the family, the company’s logo has three colors: white, blue, and green. The symbol has a hint of white at the top to represent the sun, the lite blue color represents the rays of the sun shining through a blue sky, the darker blue represents the sky closer to land, the green indicates mountains, and the white zigzag line indicates the separation from the sky and the mountains. The logo is made to look like a circle to represent the whole world. Also, the symbol is outlined by white, which helps it transition to the background color of the business name, several RV brands’ logo that the business sells, and the location of the business. The business name stands out because the name is located right under the business’ logo. Crain, the first part of the name, is large and the only item colored black, and the RV part of the name is red to help show off the products more. All of the RV brands’ logos are colored and styled differently to make the brands stand out from one another. The color of the location, I-30 Little Rock, really helps transition to the backdrop of the business information. The word in white are important facts for the customer to know because most people may only assume they sale RVs rather than sale, services, and has parts for the RVs. The contact information is more bolded to stand out, so that customers do not have to go searching on how to get ahold of the business. The large phrase at the top that is capitalized, in bold red lettering, and outlined in white, will catch the audience attention. As said in the advertisement, “EVERY JOURNEY BEGINS HERE!,” can make people daydream about their next journey (Crain RV 17). Crain RV really showed what information was important to them using the logo and
No electricity, water, sewer, permanent address and certainty. These are what the people in tent cities live through every day. In the article “Camping for Their Lives”, author Scott Bransford chronicled the stories of people who reside in tent cities, a makeshift housing for informal settlers. He also documented their struggles, the different circumstances of the informal settlers and the origins of tent cities. The author was effective in raising awareness on the issues surrounding tent cities were growth rate seems to be proportionate on the amount of indigent residents. He was able to communicate the story without prejudice by citing stories of residents from Taco Flat, and adding excerpts from interviews with experts on the matter.
The crisis team must keep one thing in mind, above all, when anticipating and planning for crises: crises are fraught with risks, which present themselves immediately, and opportunities, which give small clues and only manifest themselves over time.
The first journal evaluated comes from an article in Business Horizons named "A Multi-faceted Approach to Crisis Management" that discusses the need for developing many parallel plans before disaster strikes. First and foremost, the article says that a crisis management team must be created for the mere anticipation of possible crisis events in order that recovery and rebuild of the organization may be conducted in an efficient manner. The team should be named and move into action. The first order of business for the new team should be developing worst case scenarios. In order for this next step to happen, the team must establish what business functions are mission critical and necessary for the survival of the organization. They must also understand and plan for the proper technology needed to back up these functions to be in place. After all of this is completed, the team needs to develop and distribute to all those involved a crisis management plan. It falls on management to ensure all parties stay current and trained on t...
It had been a decade since I camped last, and I recalled it being a jam packed, smokey, noisy family campground. I had only been camping in the “real woods” once, and that was literally decades ago - four of them. And now, Wendy, who is a self-proclaimed Queen-of-the-wilderness, introduced a weekend in the interior of Algonquin Park as one of our - Canadian Destinations.

Recently, businesses have been researching how to market the businesses product through the World Wide Web. In the modern era, there are many things can be considered as a creative professional, including article writing, radio broadcast, deletion, filming music and arts…etc. In other words, each of the writers or artists uses different ways to express their points of view by using their creative professions. Among those different kinds of creative professionals, adbuster is one of the examples that they see themselves as a global network alliance including writers, artists, activists, students, educators, entrepreneurs and even pranksters who want to promote the new social activist movement of the information era through their exploration on the spiritual and culture lessons. The artists of adbuster usually take the existing advertising, to add their thoughts and believes to emphasize fairness standpoint, social criticize and satirize, complaint and protest, political stance and environment-friendly upon different perspectives. There are many different kinds of advertising existed, each of them is basically used to propagate the products in order to promote the consumption. Thus, the situation makes people be induced and became crazy for buying things, which gradually brings lots of finance and business problems that are not easily resolved.
A crisis can arise at any unexpected time. There is nothing worse than having a crisis that is completely unexpected of. One of the most important ideals for a crisis management role is to be prepared. If a company is unprepared in a time of crisis it can bring negatively-viewed perceptions their way (Schmidt, 2013, 16). Take Noah, for example. Noah built an Ark on dry land years before the flood, however, once the flood came he was safe and sound in the boat that people laughed at him for building. Noah was prepared (Edwards, 2013, 33). Too often, organizations are not prepared for a crisis and often times, this diminishes their reputation. This means that a company should never leave their reputation vulnerable to reproach, there should always be a crisis-communication plan intact. A crisis communication plan can help keep potential damage to a company’s reputation at a minimal (Stuart & Cohen, 2010). In fact, a survey conducted by the IABC reported that one in three companies would not be prepared if a crisis arises (Holland & Gill, 2006).
The product will reach out to the working class and the decision maker of the household the company looked at the following
The communication process is not something that begins when a crisis rears its ugly head rather it is a process that takes place in preparing for a crisis before it happens. While the term crisis represents a blanket term used to describe many situations, each situation is unique, thus presenting different obstacles to overcome. However, with a well-established advanced plan in place an organization places itself in a position to overcome and work around obstacles. The development of a comprehensive crisis management plan is one achieved through effective communication where each member of the crisis management team has an advanced shared understanding of his or her role and responsibility during a time of crisis (du Pr'e, 2005).
Managing a Crisis Using Public Relations Handling Public Relations for any organization can be very difficult. task in any circumstance - even in simple, non-crisis situations. When a crisis strikes, that's when PR managers really have their work. cut out for them to see. A PR manager must always be prepared for the inevitable crisis to happen because that is when their jobs are really tested by the public and the organization.

Tent camping is a very prevalent type, getting much attention for being the least expensive and most versatile. While tent camping is the way to go with a tight budget, camping in an RV can be a better option for those with extra money to spend on bringing the luxuries with them into the outdoors (Ruskin). However, it is important to note that when camping with the use of an RV, you must inquire about amenities such as electricity and water hook-up. Since the 1930’s, camping areas have had to expand their offerings to accommodate the advanced needs of campers and RV’s. Although camping with an RV or camper may sound like the ultimate get away in the woods, many loyal tent campers with a traditional mindset have begun to criticize campers who use such vehicles. Many of these traditionalists argue that camping in a vehicle really isn’t camping
