Plagiarism is bad for so many reasons. One reason is because you are literally stealing from other people. Another reason is that you are taking credit for something someone else did. A final reason is that you are lying to your teacher when you turn in the assignment because you are telling him/her that you did that.
The first reason why plagiarism is bad: you are stealing from other people. This is bad because if you steal you are breaking one of the Ten Commandments. Another reason why this it is wrong to steal because it is morally wrong. A final reason why this is wrong is because if you plagiarize then there will be serious consequences when a teacher catches you. Descriptions are made as to what defines plagiarism and ways to avoid plagiarism. “To plagiarize is to take work that is not your own and submit it as your own, without giving credit to the person who created it.” Some suggestions to avoid plagiarism are to keep your notes organized, and to cite whenever you use someone else’s ideas. It is also suggested to summarize, paraphrase or quote your sources. It is not considered your writing if you connect multiple quotes without adding your own ideas or thoughts. The only time you don’t have to cite is when the information you are talking about is common knowledge, or it is about your own life.

Although when you are younger and you get to know that plagiarizing is illegal and the consequences can severe, cases of students getting caught in the act are rare. This is also one part of the overall problem, schools and teachers do not focus enough upon this topic. They carry on, unnoticeable of anything, and when students see this, they will get an indication of “Sure I can do this, there are no consequences”. “If people are given wiggle room, they’ll take it” . The “carelessness” is also shown in a survey made by Donald

Plagiarism is a very serious subject to talk about. It doesn’t sound like it is that big of a deal but very serious things can come out of it. Students should learn the rules and regulations of the school ,that they are attending, about plagiarism.[1] That’s basically what plagiarism is; copying someone else’s work.
What exactly is plagiarism? Plagiarism is the act of stealing another person's words or writing and not properly citing the quotes or paraphrase. Plagiarism is centralized around taking a sentence or how paper of someone's and calling it yours while Copyright infringement is centralized around using a piece of work that has been copyrighted such as someone using the Disney logo on a shirt and selling them without permission from the Disney Corporation. Committing either of these can make you end up in some serious trouble whether it be with your school or a big corporation.
