I want to be sportscaster when I grow up because I would like to discuss events with proffesionals. I also couldn’t see myself in life without being connected to sports. Also it seems really cool to be a sportscaster at ESPN because it looks like a cool place to work there.
It started on September 7, 1979, and it was hosted by George Grande and Lee Leonard and on May 17 1998 they had their 20,000 episode and on February they had their 30,000 episode. They then found where they finally wanted to put their broadcasting station, in Connecticut and recently in 2014 they moved to Digital Center 2’s Studio X.
Over all the ESPN workers in the world there about 7,000 working employees for ESPN. The workers live mostly in Connecticut or L.A. because those are where the two main stations are at. They announce sport games, keep us updated, also go to the games and interview players or coaches, and give their opinions on teams and players. The jobs that are kinda related to a ESPN job are being a manager of a team, a player, a coach, or the owner. Another job that’s related to this is a newspaper writer.
You have to have study background information in order to be prepare for programs or interviews. Identify stations, and introduce or close shows, using memorized scripts or by reading the little tv right beside the camera. Interview the show’s guest about their opinions and see what they think about current or upcoming events. They would have to make promotional appearances at public or private events in order to represent their current or past employees. They have to cover specific events, go into the field of important news or games that a really big deal. The hour of employees are all different because they all work at differe nt time som...

...ou get to be funny sometimes so I have a lot of benefits for the job. Also when I get to travel (coast to coast) and stay in fancy hotels and eat good every night and day, probably ESPN pays for the food and hotel so that is also a really good thing, plus it save me a lot of money. And maybe just maybe I might be able to become as famous as john madden, because that would be so cool because he comes out on shows movies and is friends with a lot of famous people and he has his own video game. I could also get to go to the NBA and NFL draft and the combine where they work out for the NFL and NBA coaches so that is also cool. Maybe I only have to basketball guy to where when its basketball season that’s when I work, so when its not basketball season I can spend time with my family and the summer. But over all yes I would still want to work at ESPN or sports center.
David Holmes is under contract with ESPN for one year. He will be hosting television shows and anchoring SportsCenter on ESPN and ESPN News. He has wanted to do this since he was six years old and agrees that this is his “Dream Job.” David Holmes tells people that “Dreams can and will come true with hard work. You have to go out and get it.”
When I grow up I want to be an MLB player. A person I look up to is Felix Hernandez. I look up to him because he is a good baseball player. This is why I want to be a baseball player.
money you make a year is 1.9 million dollars not the most but its good (the best is NBA which is 5.15 million dollars) future job outlooks are military because I might not always have football if I don’t make or I just get bored with it and don’t want to do it
Between 1996 and 1997 they financed their first TV show with the money they saved from touring and making videos and produced 13 episodes which channel 7 Australia bought, eventually they sold the show to ABC and also managed to sell it to Disney Australia.
Exercise Science is a field of work that is valued by many. There are different paths for different kind of people whether they are interested in personal training, physical therapy, or even some kind of sports coach. The route I would like to take would be Exercise Science for Athletic Training. I want to be an Athletic Trainer because growing up, I loved playing and watching sports. I played baseball for about 2 years, ran track for 3, and played basketball my entire life. After my high school career, I knew that I could not stay involved in sports because all of the injuries I have experienced so I decided I wanted a job that is behind the scenes but still rooted in athletics.
Working at a school would not have been a top choice but as an athletic director it seems fun and enjoyable. An athletic director oversees all school sports and makes sure that everyone follows the rules and does not disobey the coaches (Bean-Mellinger, Barbara). They also have to attend all games and matches that are scheduled (Hinginbotham, Heather). As well as attending all the games they have to hire the officials that are needed for the games (Higinbotham, Heather). Athletic directors also might have to fire coaches and other athletic department employees if needed (Bean-Mellinger, Barbara). They also have to set or approve job descriptions for each position (Bean-Mellinger, Barbara). Every athletic director job is different depending on the size of school; their daily routine might be different from others. In smaller schools the athletic director might have to teach classes as well as do their own job. But as for larger school they will only be an athletic director. In some jobs they are physical education teachers as well as an athletic director (Baccadutre).
would probably wish to be an athletic star so I could play on any team I wanted.
The job market varies in the field of sport management. Some occupational opportunities include: athletic trainer, coach, sports official, Sports agent, camp director, sporting goods sales/dealer, pro scout, athletic director, sport promoter. The list can go on of the opportunities in this career. Mostly anything sport related in today'...

...at steak such as; coaches jobs, university funds, Alumni support, ect. “According to IRS tax regulations; college athletes should be considered employees” (Anthony). In addition to the money colligate sports programs are responsible for bringing in, universities rely heavily on sports programs to bring in new students every year. These are just more jobs a student athlete does, whether he or she wants to or not.
I want to pursue Sports Management because I want to have a career in the business of basketball and I believe NC State is the ideal university to prepare me for this. When I say business of basketball many people tend to look at me with a puzzled look. I am referring to working in the office of a professional sports organization or working inside a college basketball program.
