Technology is a really high interest that I have, especially computers. I like helping people how things work, like how to work a specific app, like Microsoft Excel. I want to pass down my knowledge to other customers so they don't feel frustrated. That's why I want to major in computer applications, so I can help concerned and unwise customers with their computer problems. In my sophomore year in high school, I took computer applications one and I had Mr. Cook, who was one of the best teachers I had that year, taught us how to work each Microsoft app, from word to excel and even powerpoint. For some reason, the way that he taught us stuck with me, even today. From his knowledge of each app of Microsoft to his laid-back attitude when he let us listen to music, as long as the class (and me) was still working on our assignments for that day. Also, he'll crack jokes once in a while to make the class less boring, which was a good bonus for being in his class, cause every other class that I have was stressful to no end, so the jokes relieved me of some major stress. …show more content…
Each step that he did, he didn't rush anything, he took his time so that we can copy what he did on the projector from our computers. I got everything that he did stick in my brain, from days Monday through Thursday, and that prepared me for the quizzes and tests that we did each Friday. I would always get A's and B's on because whatever he taught, I can recite what he did, step by step with
My purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. It is a good thing. No one wants to be a nobody. But sometimes it takes time in order for one to realize this. & nbsp; Upon graduation from high school, I, like the majority of others high school graduates, had no clue what direction my life was heading or even what I wanted to become.
He would notice when he was not being passionate and enthusiastic about his teaching. In the midst of his teaching, he would recognize when he was not doing his job correctly. It made me think about how there are professors out there who go home and reflect on the way they teach their students. That care is so essential and dear to me that I would respect and put more effort into engaging in a class if I knew that much about what my professors think and reflect.
...e, my 6th grade teacher taught us how to learn fractions by using pancakes! Withouth that I would have never have understood the concept.
Although I am still undecided, I am looking into either an Engineering/ISAT degree or a Business degree. In whatever field I end up deciding to pursue, I want to be able to use the skills and education obtained in high school, especially in my education with S.T.E.M. at SVGS, and to serve others. Even though my ideas about majors and careers still vary, I am confident in the fact that I will pick a field and major where I can best use my college degree to benefit others. Whether it is innovating and creating new products to assist people through an Engineering degree, or assisting people with their financial goals through a Business or Economics major, I want to always have a focus on putting others before myself and using my education and experience as a means to serve others.
Engineers have the potential to turn dreams into reality, which is why I decided to major in Computer Engineering. I want to be a computer programmer to make new app, or be a hardware engineer to design new devices to serve the society.
At the beginning of the lesson he was informing the kids, and he asked them if they were understanding it. He demonstrated at the end of the informing task exactly what they were to do. He then would ask the kids to go back to their mats and practice while he observed (extended task) them. After observing he went over to individual kids if they needed help or if the entire class needed help he would stop the class and refine the skills that the kids were having trouble with and went over the cues to remind the kids what they needed to do. Then he would have the children continue to practice (application task). He would then go back to rotating the class room to help the children, and encouraged them when they were demonstrating things
I am applying for the course of Computer Science because I would like to increase my knowledge of this subject. I hope that in the future I will be able to create applications for computers that will help people to save time and money.
Right now I have a fairly accurate idea concerning what I want to do with my life. My love for computers has taken me a long way and I have a strong feeling that I will continue in the field of computer science. Yet, I am also aware that I may change my mind several times before I begin a career. College will introduce me to new and various things, and I will develop new interests from this exposure. The world of technology is changing rapidly and computers seem like the best way to go. When I combine that and my love for computers I am almost certain that the field of computer science is right for me.
Choosing a major is never an easy work. I have to know and understand the major in the first place, and then seek the value of learning that major. Based on my own experience, I have to get clear with the subjects that I need to learn. Most importantly, what is my future going to be if I choose that major as the direction of my life. As an electrical engineering student, I believe that the technology surrounds us will continue to expand and engineers will lead the way.
A fascination for Science & Technology and keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering. The power of research and delivering it for the growth of Society is what makes me interested in the technology side of science. I choose to major Computer science Engineering with an intense urge to delve into this challenging field. During my under graduation program I learned the various fundamentals of Computer science Engineering which together with practical course works reinforced my interest.
Electrical engineering is the major that I am pursuing during my college career. I decided to pursue this major because it is a career, which requires knowledge in other subjects, it is a career, which changes often, and everyday it provides a person with new problems to solve.
As I look at potential colleges, I seek to find a school that can help me grow in three specific areas. With a solid foundation in general knowledge, an ever-increasing ability to critically think, and a well-rounded capacity to maintain and administer computer systems, I will have achieved my educational goals and will be uniquely qualified as an employee in a highly competitive workforce. A strong comprehension in these areas benefits me substantially as I strive towards my immediate goal of earning a technology degree. Reason for seeking additional education I want to go to college to better myself, gain further knowledge in computer systems, and prepare for a career in the technology industry. The unfortunate reality of the society which I inhabit is that without a diploma, there is little opportunity to find a job.
The work of information technology is varied, and the people in the industry who usually
Unlike many students who are unsure of the specialty they wish to pursue when entering college, my goal has always been to become a computer engineer. Becoming a computer engineer is not simply a decision I have taken lightly. I have thought very long and hard before deciding to pursue this career path.
Being well acknowledged about the above saying has pushed me a mile further for every aspect of my life. The four year engineering course in Information Technology has always been a beautiful experience and has inspired me to put the knowledge into my Masters degree. This would allow me to enhance my knowledge about technology and its pros and cons and the guidance I would need. Gone are those days when man had to slog for simple works, he has advanced into boundaries which are unimaginable and has made his life easy, being an essential part of such an advancement has always been my motive. To attain my goal, my first priority would be in the field of research which will consist experiencing the applications in the real world steered by comprehensive know-how about technology. Technology has prevailed and casted its spell to parts unknown and now has been imbibed into man.
