In the near future my goal is to further my studies; in the nursing field as a Registered nurse. Personally, my main objectives to become a Registered nurse are, to help save the lives of other, accomplishing my goal, and living life more independently. These are the qualities that would best describe personality: enthusiastic, loving, caring, compassionate, honest, and a cheerful individual. I grow up to have deep passionate love for people, especially those that are unable to help themselves on a daily basis. I always vision myself attending to someone’s rescue; that is in danger or in critical condition. What I have noticed from a long time ago; is that the nursing industry is one out of many that devotes their time, patient, and input hard work and effort to help meet the need of others and make a difference.
In a team-oriented setting, everyone contributes to how well the group succeeds overall. You work with fellow members of the group to complete the work that needs to be done. Having the right people in the correct roles is an important factor in measuring the success of a team, where you are united with the other members to complete the main goals. Every group is made up of definite strengths and weaknesses. Our team's 3-5 major strengths necessary to work accordingly consist of Informer, Summarizer, Orienter, Piggy-Backer, and Encourager. One of our strengths as a team is that we get input from everyone involved. Every member of our team is a leader in some way. Part of being a good leader is knowing how important it is to receive the best ideas from each member of their team. We attend group meetings where we discuss any challenges, issues, and problems. At these meetings, we often exchange ideas or brainstorm new ones with each other and come up with the best and most creative team solutions as potential answers to those perceived problems.
The two areas that best reflect my strong suits are respectful and inspiring. (Steadiness) Respect should not be taken lightly and people want others to show them that they are important. I am not the one to belittle, talk down to someone, embarrass the other person, or not acknowledge someone because they are not like me or do not hold a certain position. People respond in a negative manner and become very defensive when others treat them in any of the ways previously mention. I look at how I want others to consider when speaking and interacting with me. That is the way I have to try to handle myself when dealing with others. Taking calculated risks is what I do best because I cannot stand losing too much if the results do not outweigh the risks involved. I am also very critical on myself and can point out faults in a heartbeat. I have to analyze future actions before I act on anything because I do not want to go wrong or too far away from initial path. Repeating myself or actually running through multiple scenarios takes up a lot of time. Being overly critical on myself will eliminate some of that time that I cannot get back.

Hence, I can utilize my strengths and manage my weaknesses to be a better member in future group assignments. In particular, I will focus on utilizing my personality traits in moderation as either extremes of high or low on a personality may be too rigid, being an extreme strength in certain situations, but being an extreme weakness in others. Despite having a low extraversion, I can still take a more active role in future discussions by sharing all constructive ideas instead of shying out and worrying of others’ negative feedback. I will also balance between orderliness and flexibility by proposing general deadlines for our group and at the same time allowing members to organize their own progress so that we can have organization in the group without suffocating the members. With more flexibility given, I will keep in mind to be agreeable in moderation in which I will be trusting and compassionate to the members but also able to be firm if any member is slacking or not meeting our deadlines. From the given test my assumed “team role” is Co-ordinator. One of this role's strengths is clarifying task goals, promoting decision-making and consensus. There is also a negative side where people can see me as manipulative, but there are a lot of benefits to working in groups and as a person who much prefers to work individually, it also helps with given pressure while presenting the work. Some of my personality traits include; empathy, strong willed, and ambitious. Beginning with empathy, it is the ability to recognize and to share the thoughts to some extent. Being empathetic also enables me to be considerate. I am able to identify with my patients problems very well. They will therefore easily entrust me with their problems with the assurance that they won’t be criticized.
