Why Dogs Are Better Than Cats

Domesticated animals have always been a part of the family; however, when it comes between dogs and cats, dogs are the pals of a lifetime. With my dogs Rose and Nipsy following me everywhere I go, while my cats Leo and Luna nestle in their hiding spots, it’s no wonder I prefer my dogs over my cats. Although both animals are common household pets, dogs are better docile companions over willful cats and it’s shown from their energy levels, the amount of care that must be allotted to them, and their obedience in training.
When it comes to finding a fun and enthusiastic critter, dogs are the way to go. Dogs are very playful and energetic pets who require a means of exercise. Taking my critters on a long walk is a pastime we all enjoyed together. …show more content…

Rose and Nipsy are constantly cuddled up against me where ever I sit or lay, usually taking up all the space. As soon as I get up, they’d either assume two things, it’s time for a walk or it’s time for their food. Dogs can survive with one meal a day, but I tend to split the food into two meals instead. Dogs have a habit of over eating or eating anything and everything that touches he floor, in other words, they’re great vacuum cleaners. Dogs also need to be walked regularly and a schedule works best when it comes to bathroom-time. In terms of grooming, they can get very stinky from all their outside adventures and it is best to wash them at least once a month to every two or three weeks. Cats, however, can survive without attention, being that they aren’t too affectionate. They’re very dominant and like their own space. Instead of hugs and cuddles, they prefer food and a clean litter box. Leo likes to sleep in his litterbox from time to time so it’s important that it always stay clean. Luna tends to miss the litter box and use the bathroom right next to it to spite me when I pick her up for a hug. They do clean themselves, in which case, giving them a bath from time to time can be tricky, but is often well worth it. In any case, cats simply do as they please; meanwhile, dogs are far needier, but their willingness to please pet owners and obey commands gives them more reason
