I first want to start out with a quote by Cesar Milan who once said “Dogs don’t rationalize. They don’t hold anything against a person. They don’t see the outside of a human but the inside of a human.” Dogs have been around for millions of years. I believe dogs have been put in this earth to help us. I want to tell you a few reasons why dogs make the better pet. Imagine having a long life companion, someone who doesn't argue with you, who listens to you, who does everything you tell them to do. I don’t know about you but that would sound amazing. I believe there are men and women like that in this world but seriously speaking you will probably argue with your partner, you won’t agree all the time, and they probably won’t listen to you sometimes. …show more content…

Dogs have great sense of humor; they are attentive, loyal, fierce, and obedient. I have noticed that since we are all in high school there has been this big thing about who is dating who? Honestly speaking why would you even want to have a boyfriend or girlfriend when you can get a dog. Now I have a question for you. Have you ever felt sad? and hopefully your response is yes, because I definitely have and it’s not the greatest feeling in the world but did you know that dogs actually help with sadness, depression, and anxiety. Dogs encourage their owners to get exercise which can be very beneficial for people who suffer from depression. Dog can create a calming sensation for their owners just by stroking them or petting them. Having dog can give these people a sense of purpose. Dogs don't only give sense of purpose to people with mental health but with elderly people too. Dogs can make such a great pet for older people. Older people sometime feel lonely since they have no one to take care besides their partner or sometimes they don't even have partner, so by having a dog it can give their life a new
