You know how many movies always have the angel and the devil on the protagonist shoulder to portray positive and negative in a person’s characteristics. This may happen so often that it is clique. But it is shown in real life and in the play Macbeth. Macbeth, a play by William Shakespeare, also displays this scene in the character Macbeth’s positive and negatives choices. Therefore, the person that is most responsible for the downfall is himself, due to his power-hungry and willingness to do bad.
In detail, Macbeth in the play started off presented as a loyal warrior that was willing to protect the king. In the first place, he wanted to be king himself and decided to do a lot of daring actions. He believed that he could be king and achieved …show more content…

For one thing, he could have not killed the king and lived on my his side as a loyal warrior. In fact, he could “not bear the knife,” ( 1. 7. 16) himself. Proving he did not want to kill the king but did so anyways to be “so much more of man,” (1.7.58). Macbeth wanted better for himself and wanted to prove to him and everyone else he was a man so he decided to choose wrong over right. He wanted it so much but feared it so much he saw “a dagger which i see before me,” (2.1.44). With this in mind, he feared it so much, it made him guilty that he saw a dagger. Making him horror such image that he visualizes in his own mind and dreams. Macbeth still proceed with the murder and later on executed more people in more ways. Such as bribing others to kill Banquo and his son just so he can have more power with no one in his way. On the other hand, Lady Macbeth could be a reason too, just because she told him he could be more of a man causing him to long for it more. Nevertheless, Macbeth could have choices to stand up to his wife and do the right thing, not to mention killing more people without LAdy Macbeth
