The king is dead. Macbeth is the culprit but that leads to his own death. The tragedy, Macbeth, was written by William Shakespeare which included these characters: Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, Banquo, King Duncan, and the Three Witches. In the beginning of this novel, the three witches gave Macbeth a false prophecy about taking the kings place. Since he is very ambitious, he sawt after being the king and would do whatever it takes. The only way he thought would make him instantly be king was to kill his way to the throne. Lady Macbeth manipulates him by saying to him that he is not a man if he is afraid to kill.
