What Is My Favorite Professor?

All throughout my life one of my main interests has been the sciences, especially biology. I have always been enamored by how all organisms, especially us as humans, function. From a young age, I have found myself constantly wanting to learn more. Thus, if I was to teach any subject, I would choose biology seeing that I want to share my excitement about the subject with others. I have found that the best teachers are those who are excited about what they teach. They tend to share that excitement with their students, making class as fun as possible and teaching the class with great rapture. For instance, I as a running start student I have found that my favorite professors absolutely love the subjects that they teach; they have either worked in the field or have always found that subject intriguing. One of my favorite professors is my Biology professor. When she is teaching, she always teaches with so much happiness and enthusiasm; she wants to share her love for biology with us! We conduct fun experiments in class and she is often spewing random but intriguing facts about the subjects we are learning, connecting the material from the textbook with real life. Obviously they have to be conversant with the subject they are teaching but along with that if they have experience in the field, they tend to know more about that subject and thus are likely to teach it better. My Junior year chemistry professor is the perfect example for this. She would teach us lessons straight from the textbook, but would always give us examples from her job as a science researcher. This helped capture our attention since this way we could connect the material we learned from the textbook with real world
