Nothing is ever perfect, but in this corrupt and uncertain world, it can be comforting to imagine an alternate reality in which life is flawless. A utopia is an imagined community or society in which all threats are eliminated. Humanity is greedy and everybody's visions differ. “In every revolution, there are winners and losers. Every dystopia is a utopia for somebody else. It just depends where you are. Are you in the class that benefits, or are you in the class that is not.” What this quote represents is the fact that “perfect” has a different definition for everybody and it would be an incredible feat to satisfy everyone. The definition of perfection is being free or as free as possible from all flaws or defects. This is a contradiction to the common principles of a human. Humans are born with a defect or flaw that extracts them from being perfect. Perfection is an abstract concept, that is only present in one's mind; thus everyone's view of perfect differs. Additionally, if everyone's view of perfect differs, it would be impossible for everyone to agree on their view of a perfect society. Regularly, there will always be someone with a complaint making the society imperfect. Overall, nothing will get done because everyone wants the society to solve issues without fighting. Anything that we do involves a challenge, and as humans we want to win those challenges. Not everyone can win, and with every choice we make winners and losers are present, and most losers do not enjoy losing. In a society that is perfect there is no sadness or sorrow so where would the losers fit in. In a perfect society all challenges are eliminated and as humans we strive to succeed and without challenges there is nothing to strive towards. As humans we are always striving for a higher status and utopian societies focus on equality. With higher status comes more rights and that would break the cycle of equality. The concept of a utopia is surrounded by so many contradictions that even a sliver of hope for one is non-existent. Many think that a utopian society can exist because everything is possible if you give time and thought into it. This is a very weak argument as the only way to achieve perfection is if everyone died and that would be much of a society. There is no way in our world’s current state that we could create a society with no problems.

Although paradise is currently unachievable there is a lot of room to improve in our present societies. A utopia is a concept in which all threats and problems are eliminated.
