Utopia is a society that you really can’t wrap your head around. In Utopia it talks about Thomas, Raphael, Peter how they met and what they think they about the society. It ask you questions that really makes you think, would I want to live in this society? Utopia talks about how they are a perfect society but it makes you wonder if they really are. (More, 2011)
When Moore talks about Utopia he says that the island is formed in a crescent shape. Which makes me think that every county or state is not shaped perfectly, they have their own shape to make them different and to stand out from the rest. It talks about how they don’t have private property which means anyone can come in to their house at any time of the day. We live in a society where you lock your doors every time you can leave the house. I couldn’t imagine a strange just walking in my house while I was watching TV. It also talks about how you have to switch houses every ten years. We don’t switch houses ever and I don’t think its right that poor people get to live in a big house that they don’t deserve at all. Every person in today’s society dresses different to show their own personality but in Utopias society you have to dress alike unless you get married, different sexes, or you get a divorce. Today anyone can get married whenever they want but in Utopia society the women have to at least be eighteen years old and the men have to be twenty two. You can get a divorced whenever you want to, you just have to go to court and get it in parents but in Utopia you both must want out of it and have another mate in mind. If the other one doesn’t want out of the marriage then you have to stay together and it sucks for the other person. (More, 2011)

I don’t agree with Plato’s or Mores theory because I don’t think a person should work and achieve a nice home and have to switch houses with someone that might not have a nice as place as what I had. I agree with Lucian because if you work harder than someone else then shouldn’t get the same amount of money as them. Whatever job they do is how much money they should get not everyone gets the same amount. People could not think for their selves because it was dictated to them. After figuring out about this society, they are not perfect. They have some good things in their society like you don’t have to pay for anything or you go to the hospital without any fees or copays. In the end, Utopia will always be a different society that everyone would want to live in but hate it when they did. (More, 2011)

Utopia is any state, condition, or place of ideal perfection. In Ursula LeGuin's short story "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas" the city of Omelas is described as a utopia. "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas" presents a challenge of conscience for anyone who chooses to live in Omelas.
Imagine a place where everything is perfect. There is a place where there is no warfare, where all. All politics, laws, customs, and traditions are respected. A place where there is sameness among all the citizens and everyone is content and happy. This place would be considered a utopia.
Utopia is an imaginary state, which consists of people who believe they are more capable to live in a group than alone. In such a community, the welfare of the group is the primary interest comparing to the comfort of individuals. The purpose of this society is to allow people to live in equality and freedom. Their social and economical status would be the same. An example of such a society was established in 1848, by John Humphrey Noyes. It soon dissolved at 1880 because of the oppositions aroused among the people about the system of "complex marriage". This system is different from the one in The Giver, whereby all adults in the community were considered married to one another.
Third, the Utopian attitude towards money differs from modern society. The Utopians highly prize virginity. The government forbids marriage for life those who commit premarital intercourse. Yet the percentage of people marrying without premarital intercourse in our society is minute. In most cases, the couple has a long-standing sexual relationship.

Thomas Mores Utopia has more of a community sense. People are forced to believe that the purpose for working is for the good of the public. No matter what a persons status or rank is, they must learn the basics of Agriculture during their childhood. As mentioned by Thomas More, “Every year of this family come back to town after they have stayed two years in the country and in their room there are other twenty sent from the town than they may learn country work from those that have already one year in the county”. Virtually every culture has strived to achieve a Utopian society. A Utopian society is basically a society, which has surpassed aggression, war, hate, and crime while establishing “peaceful” and orderly communities. A Utopian society could not exist with the individuality that nature has bestowed on the human race. So long as humans remain unique in their state of mind, utopia is a mere fantasy. To work around this problem a society must adapt itself to achieve a utopian-like state. This can be achieved by one of two ways.
Each person has their own vision of utopia. Utopia means an ideal state, a paradise, a land of enchantment. It has been a central part of the history of ideas in Western Civilization. The Utopia Reader defines the word utopia as “a nonexistent society described in detail and normally located in time and space.” (p.1) I would best define utopia as a fictional dream- paradise land where everything is peaceful, perfect and all runs smoothly. Entitled, ‘DE OPTIMO REIPUBLICATE STATU DEQUE NOVA INSULA UTOPIA, clarissimi disertissimique viri THOMAE MORI inclutae civitatis Londinensis civis et Vicecomitis’, translated into English would read, ‘ON THE BEST STATE OF A COMMONWEALTH AND ON THE NEW ISLAND OF UTOPIA, by the Most Distinguished and Eloquent Author THOMAS MORE Citizen and Undersheriff of the Famous City of London.’.
I believe that this society, at least the economic aspect of it, would be possible to attain. However, I believe it cannot happen with our entire world. More made a point by putting Utopia on an island in the middle of the "real world": there is no way to apply Utopia to the "real word". In order to create a Utopia like this today, we must take very young children and raise them apart from society. If we do this and teach them about the society we are trying to create, I believe their reason will make the Utopia a lasting one. But if we try to create this Utopia over the whole Earth, we will fail miserably. The world is filled with billions of people who have been raised in our current society, and it is human nature to resist change. The economic situation of More's Utopia is possible, but only in a situation very close to the one in his book.
Utopia: A utopia is an imagined community or society that possesses highly desirable or nearly perfect qualities for its citizens. So, are Utopias possible? Utopias are meant to be perfect where nothing is bound to go wrong. Many people have attempted the ¨perfect society” and frequently failed. A utopia can be possible but, in a fictional world. A utopia, in real life cannot be possible. The possibility of anything or anyone being perfect is impossible therefore, neither are utopias. For these societies to be perfect there are always rules made. This proves utopias are doomed to fail. Nobody can ever seem to follow certain rules for a long amount of time. If these societies work out it will not be a long amount of time.
Utopia is possible although there is no way to make just one because everyone has different views and different ideas of what their perfect society should be. I think that by using sort of the same concepts from Divergent, we could potentially get a society that is at the very least, close to utopia. Utopia is hard to achieve for many reasons but the main reason is that humans are not perfect creatures, Human error is bound to get in the way of this perfect society. But by making several smaller societies with their own values and priorities and letting the people choose where they want to live, I think we could definitely be on the right track. You would be living amongst people with the same values as yourself and they also wanted to be
Because they are described in a detailed manner, the Utopia book itself seems to be enough to be a blueprint for the future. However, Thomas More clearly stated that he just wishes Europeans to follow some good qualities of the Utopian society—“there are many things in the Utopian commonwealth that in our own societies I would wish rather than expect to see” (97)—because he himself knows that it is impossible for any country to be like Utopia. This is apparent, because Utopia is possible on the premise that every factor comes together to create this ideal society. Even the geography has to contribute to this premise, as Hythloday explains the geography of Utopia as the place where strangers cannot enter without one of them (39). Moreover, from diligent and compassionate Utopians’ characteristics and their ways of life, they seem to be successful in reaching the fullest of every aspect of their life including physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional, when it is hardly possible to even have one person like that in real life.
