According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary the word Adaptable means to be capable of, suited to, or contributing to adaptation or to have adaptive traits that enhance survival. This is the word that I would describe myself with because although its one word it has so many meanings to it that describes me. This word in particular is one that stands out because of when you’re in survival mode you have to adapt to your current situation or to be an adaptable person in general is a good way to be successful. Nonetheless you do need intelligence to be adaptable but over time I’ve learned that your willingness to adapt and your ability to also comes into play. To be flexible is to be confident, optimistic, tolerant, and empathetic. When being confident you need to believe in yourself and trust that your judgments are right. I’ve always been confident in my-self that I can do anything if honestly try and that everything will work out the way it need to. As a result of having this mind-set I became a very optimistic person always having a positive outlook on life. Once I became more optimistic I became more tolerant meaning I was more open to accepting opinions and practices different from my own whether it be the ones I grew up on or ones I’ve made along the way. Lastly is being empathetic. When you’re empathetic you feel the pain, or the joy, of another person and it comes from your heart. You can then put yourself in their shoes.
