The Effects of GUST’s Parking Shortage
The Gulf University of Science and Technology, GUST for short, is known as a quite small university when in comparison to other universities. Thousands of students attend classes in just one building, which is divided into two sections; North and West. Both the North unit and the West unit of the university have their own parking zones. Although both sections have parking spots, there seems to be a parking shortage at the university that affects both the students and the professors/staff. Wasting time, cars blocking the way and other cars, being late to class are some of the many effects associated with parking shortage.
Looking for a parking spot, and roaming around the parking area continuously is considered to be a waste of valuable time. Students and professors both have classes to attend, and work to do. The North-parking zone with the parking tents tends to waste the most time. Many students prefer parking at the North tent parking area, which makes the zone always full. People seem to be roaming around this specific area thinking a parking spot would magically appear. Many people prefer this parking particularly because of the tents, the shade and the closeness to the door, so they can get to classes faster. The other parking at the

Some professors keep the system open for at least 10 minutes, but students still manage to be coming later due to parking shortage. For example, a student had an emergency the night before which caused the student to sleep a bit later that night, the student wakes up a late, rushing to the university and taking extra time to find a parking spot, including the walking (if the parking is far away) the student will be late to class. Some professors do not appreciate students who are late to class, that will majorly affect the student. For instance an absence may be counted and the student wasted an
Students should not feel the anxiety of being late to class based on the CSUF parking issues. Tardiness often suggests that students could be lazy or show lack of care for their education. On the other hand, tardiness may be different at a school similar to CSUF. Titan students will quickly learn that they must show up to school an hour early in order to find a parking space, if they are lucky. Due to students not being capable of finding a parking space on time, they are generally tardy to their college courses. In this case, student’s education should not be affected due to parking issues. However, colleges are not as impacted in the summer, therefore, students should not be expected to worry about finding an open location to park. Although, several students may have disagreed that the parking lot tends to be impacted in the summer as well. For example, I attend a summer course for English, having
Students are deprived from there leaning do to the tardy policy. A policy that is unfair this tardy policy makes students serve a 30 min detention if there even a second late to class and after multiple absences or tardies you can face legal consequences. There's many reasons why students may be late for example students need to take the city buss, bikes ,cars to school but there's always traffic so sometimes it's not the students fault , students shouldn't be given a 30 minute detention for being a couple of minutes late.
Parking on Campus is a Pain New students entering Concordia College are not permitted to have a car on campus. With each new freshman class entering every year, parking represents an issue. Concordia is as of now constrained in its parking on campus and since first year students are not permitted to have cars, the students are confronted with the problem of having no place to park or parking very a long way from their goal. There are parking issues everywhere throughout the campus, making backups in residence hall and other lots, bringing about students parking illegally to avoid from walking far distances, which can be very aggravating in the bitter cold. Parking nearer appears like the reasonable thing to do, however it is a hazard, which
New students entering Western Michigan University are allowed to have a car on campus. With every new freshmen class entering each year, parking poses a problem. WMU is already limited in its parking on campus and since freshmen are allowed to have cars, the students are faced with the dilemma of having nowhere to park or parking quite far from their destination. There are parking problems all over the campus, creating backups in residence hall and other lots, resulting in students parking illegally to avoid walking far distances, which can be quite irritating in the bitter cold. Parking closer seems like the rational thing to do, but it is a risk, which can result in hundreds of dollars worth of traffic tickets, or having your car toed away.
Literature has long been regarded as a cornerstone of education, fostering intellectual growth and enriching the lives of students. In the era of the Common Core State Standards, however, concerns arise about the diminishing emphasis on literary study in favor of "informational texts. " By exploring the perspective of Jane Robbins and Joe Mack, as articulated in their article "Top Ten Reasons Why Students Need More Literature (Not Less). " We aim to discern how Lynn might perceive the story's relevance in a class such as ours. The short story "Double Trouble" from "A Date with the Angels" can be viewed through the lens of Steven Lynn's "Top Ten Reasons Why Students Need More Literature (Not Less).
Driven to Frustration: An Analysis of CSULB’s Parking Crisis As a college transfer student attending California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), I immediately observed that the majority of students at this institution commute to campus. I have heard a multitude of complaints regarding the persistent parking congestion occurring on campus. Many of my friends have told me about the frustrations of commuting to school daily, while this chaos continues to happen. Students attempting to attend courses or just be on campus are unnecessarily tense due to the amount of parking lots and services dispersed throughout the upper campus.
Some professors in universities and some departments have very tight polices related with attendance. There are many universities and colleges in the world which doesn’t consider regular attendance in their grading part system. Sometime if the professor knows about the excessive number of times the student was absent they will mark the name of student and the final grade of that class is lowered. This topic is an issue of debate all over the world. Some people support this rule while other is against this rule. In this paper, I have presented many arguments in favor of strict attendance policy while some arguments are against the strict attendance policy. Students in college and universities are matured enough to take their own decision (Bastedo,

The dream of almost every high school student is to go attend college. The students assume that it will be a fun time with many exciting events and experiences. These ignorant youths fail to understand the cost of this enjoyment. That when scrolling through tuition cost they fail to see what else they must pay for. Future students are required to pay for the enjoyment of waking up hours earlier to be able to get to class or pay for some other means to arrive to class on top of tuition. Some reasons that parking should be free is the cost of parking can stack with other costs, it’s not the student’s responsibility to sustain a parking lot, and parking is not available to everyone. Therefore, parking should be included in the tuition that is

It is hard to find parking on campus, especially during rush hours. Both students and professors are encountering trouble for this crisis. As a simple example, the parking lot next to the Sarkeys building is always full. This problem is a continuous, daily hazard. As a student required to maintain a lot of class schedules and activities, I suffer from the parking problem daily and find that others encounter the same. It is true that the university is working on a new parking garage, but during the construction process, there is no alternative way to settle the crisis. The official home page of OU parking and transportation services is a source to consider for exploring the problem.
Finding an empty parking space is a common problem in most urban areas which especially occurs in popular areas and tourist attraction spots. This situation has become more serious especially during their peak time, be it holiday seasons ,carnivals or any other festivals. The limited availability of vacant parking spaces often result in traffic congestion. Limitation of a driver’s capability of finding a vacant parking spaces and absence of efficient management are also at fault causing this problem.

While studying or even registering for a class presents a challenge to some college students, the greatest obstacle remains, going to class. Attending college is supposed to signify a new found freedom to make many important choices regarding education without high school mandatory attendance policies. However, students everywhere are coming to the staggering realization that college is not too different from high school. Teachers still take class roll and students are still expected to be at every class on time. What next, hall monitors in the hall? The time has come for action to be taken. Colleges must abolish mandatory student attendance policies for several reasons to be further discussed.
Attendance is a crucial aspect of a student’s education. When a student is tardy or absent, this interferes with them receiving the information given in class. Class introductions that include instructions, objectives, due dates, etc. may be missed if a student is tardy and if a student is absent, they may also get behind on their class work and homework. Communication between teacher and students about the classroom management procedures for these two things are important so that students are informed and are able to take the initiative to gather what they have missed which can help avoid them falling behind. If tardies and absences are frequent, a teacher may begin to be concerned and question what could be the possible reasons behind it, whether that be an outside force in a student’s life or something that may be happening in the teacher’s own classroom. Establishing a relationship and reflecting upon oneself as a teacher to why the class might be having
