How has the Wellness Course impacted your experience in Summer Bridge? The wellness course impacted me in such a positive way that it is pretty difficult to describe it. I learnt what it really means to take care of my person. The class actually helped me deal with the stressful environment in Summer Bridge. In addition, It taught me how to recognize and accept that change is part of each other 's life. More, I learnt that thing can be really difficult and we can only overcome it through our own personal care and how we take advantage about the resources around us. Furthermore, it

Time management plan
Over this summer, I realised that every seconds count and there are moments where it is going to be really hard. Concerning my time management, I plan to classify each of my daily activities into 4 different categories which are the following: “Important and Urgent”, “Important but Not Urgent”, “Not Important and Not Urgent”, “Not Important but Urgent”. I think that if I plan wisely I will be able to actually manage my time in a very nice way.
Daily, weekly and monthly self-care practices
The former plan also will help me take care of myself. I will probably try to keep a steady sleeping time for each single day. Moreover, I plan to actually go on a date with a friend every end of each month and also try to go to the gym a day in a

I would also like to go and meditate in nature, I will do a lonely campus trip.
Boundaries & Healthy relationships
Healthy relationships is something I pay particular attention to, since I came to Berkeley. I will chose with precaution the people I am walking and talking to. I really want to be safe and not be concerned with anything related to drug, alcohol, and sex. I think that the best way to do that is to have a small community that actually resonate with my personal values and my principles.
On-campus/Community resources you can use when needed
I am grateful to have already been to the Tang center and be in contact with one of the facilities there. I can always reach out for help whenever I have an emotional and a psychological needs. Academically, I plan to integrate the STEM mentorship program initiated by the Educational Opportunity Program at Cesar Chavez student center. In terms of my writing, I have the idea of visiting time to time the SLC writing support, I feel they will be a great support for
After taking this class, it would be impossible to see things, specially people or myself, the same way. Whether or not the intention of the class is to provide self-improvement information, it would be impossible for the student to ignore the issues, disorders, etc., identified throughout this fast-paced plethora of information. Of course what the student decides to retains is obviously subjective; which lead us to the application of the stress and health profiles. After the completion of the scales provided, and the grading associated, it would be hard not to realize how we can better our lives, if we make minor adjustments in our way of life. I for one, personalized a large part of this information, something I probably would not have been able to do, at least at the same level, back when I was a young adult.
i feel as is the writing center is a great resource for writing materials. Not all of the tutors was helping as i thought it will be. If i do have anymore questions or need assist with my papers in the future. I do plan on going to the writing center to get more educated on what i want to write about and how i want to
I was fortunate to attend two amazing institutions with incredible programs, Centralia College and Washington State University Vancouver. Centralia College provided me with an opportunity to demonstrate the strength of my skills through a six month research based project with the goal of improving training at the Writing Center. The Independent Project enabled me to strengthen my professional skills through interviewing, writing center directors
Nutrition, I have learned plays a big part in our life. To be honest I was clueless about how much nutrition affected our everyday lives. I love going to the gym working out, now that I know what should go into my diet I think I will see a lot more improvement. I occasionally follow the latest diet fads because I believed it would be better for my health, but in turn it really hurt more than it helped! This Diet Analysis project has been extremely useful course because I can personally relate to it and can use much of the information learned to my daily routines. The Diet Analysis project was a real eye opener because it let me see what exactly I was putting into my diet.
Looking at my own approach to time management I have noticed that I am well organised and good at prioritising tasks and jobs. When I log onto my computer to start my shift I am sent down numerous jobs, each job is different and has different deadlines for attendance and completion. I plan my day based around the date and time deadlines of the jobs and also the locations of the jobs. I then schedule the most effective order of completing the jobs, putting high priority jobs at the top of my list and grouping sites that are geographically close to each other. By effectively planning my day I keep a focused attitude towards my work and I have time to think about tasks and situations, rather tha...
Throughout every person’s life, there will always be moments in time where change will take place. This could range from a variety of events such as changing schools, jobs, or even one’s own home. However, there are some habits that help one stay healthy if they remain consistent. This can consist of altering one’s diet to a healthier one or even enhancing the number hours of sleep one gets per night. A health change behavior goal that I have taken the time to evaluate and accept is necessary will be composed of a ten day exercise program in order to completely change my physical fitness habits. Selecting this health change behavior was the best choice due to the fact that after starting my educational career here at UCI, I had abandoned the active lifestyle that I once had before college. For the past two
2. I will be more disciplined and not eat unhealthy foods that are saturated in fat and sugar.
Looking back over the course of the semester, I feel that I learned many new and interesting uses for technology within the classroom – both for classrooms that have a lot of technology and for classrooms that are limited with technology. For the majority of the class, we utilized William Kists’ book The Socially Networked Classroom: Teaching in the New Media Age (2010), which provided multiple modes of instruction that both utilized and/or created technology. One of the first things that I remember, and consequently that stuck with me through the course’s entirety, is that individuals must treat everything as a text. Even a garden is a text. The statement made me change the way that I traditionally viewed Language Arts both as a student and as a teacher, as I very narrowly saw literature and works of the like as texts only; however, by considering nearly anything as a text, one can analyze, study, and even expand his/her knowledge. Kist (2010) states that society is “experiencing a vast transformation of the way we “read” and “write,” and a broadening of the way we conceptualize “literacy” (p. 2). In order to begin to experience and learn with the modern classroom and technologically advanced students, individuals must begin to see new things as literature and analyze those things in a similar manner.
The problem of time management can be said to be universal not only affecting students but also other people in careers. This problem is seen to transition from a person’s life from different cadres of his or her engagement specifically from home, school and at work. It is also a problem that is internal and not external.
I feel it is very important to take care of yourself and a true responsibility to strive to be healthy. It is certainly something very personal, and that is what I really like about working towards this goal. There are not many short cuts and what you accomplish is usually measured in nothing more than hard work and proper habits. These habits are either natural to you or often times they are things that you have to acquire along the way. This is what this class did for me in many ways, it focused on important lifestyle techniques that I either already have or ones that I need to work on and try to incorporate into my everyday life.
There are many different parts to time management, such as procrastination, strategy, organization, expectations and being prepared. All of them contribute equally in many ways. All of the things that we have spoken about in this paper are highly recommended. The best thing to do when it comes to time management is to set a strategy, become organized and do your best to avoid procrastination. When you manage your time make sure you include the following; studying, sleeping, eating, relaxing and other necessary things. No matter what our circumstances are, we can all use some time management skills in our lives.
Through the completion of my graduate program in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, I have gained an immense amount of knowledge and a plethora of skills which I have used and found valuable in my seventh grade English classroom. My outlook on student learning and my empathy towards students has also been positively affected by the program. These learning opportunities have led me to become a better educator both inside and outside of the classroom.
Learn to manage your time wisely. Plan ahead! Time management can help you stay calm and focused regardless of the current situation you are in.
