For the longest time I could not decide on a major and a career to study throughout college. When I came to Georgia Southern University I discovered that they had a major that was very interesting to me. Sport Management id the ideal major for my interest and me. Since I love sports I figured that this would be the career for me. A degree in Sport Management helps to prepare for success in sport related occupations.
Money is a necessity in everyday life within the modern world and there are different ways to define money due to a variety of perceptions and views held by a wide range of people. However it is widely accepted that money is defined as a tool that serves as a medium of exchange, a unit of account which means that it is an agreed measure for recording the prices of goods and services, and a store of value. It also has to be firstly acceptable as a medium of exchange, durable, convenient for usage and finally divisible. Janice Steele, however, argues that raising the minimum wage will hurt small business and job opportunity. She uses fear to influence workers into not increasing minimum wage by making large generalizations. The article “Let’s Make the Minimum Wage a Living Wage” by Ira Knight and the article by Janice Steele “Keep the Minimum Wage Where It Is” both had good points. However, Ira Knight makes a stronger argument.

High school graduates should have the ability to make ends meet. Both men and women should have the same opportunities at the same wage. Increasing the minimum wage will provide a stable lifestyle for workers, promote productivity in the workplace, and decrease those on welfare.
