One of the most important or most effected event in the country of Australia in the last 60 years was the walk for reconciliation. In this article the author explains what there fighting for exactly and he says “ Reconciliation Australia acknowledges and pays respect to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples”. this quote shows that the people of Australia are fighting for people who were first there and there trying to get them the respect they deserve for building the base of their country. I also think this quote shows love and compassion from others to do his much and fight for others they don't even know to have respect. In the article reconciliation of Australia the author is talking about historical acceptance and he says “All Australians understand and accept the wrongs of the past and the impact of these wrongs. Australia makes amends for the wrongs of the past and ensures these wrongs are never repeated.” (author). this quote shows that the people care about their future and don't want the bad things to reoccur and ruin what they started.This quote also shows that people care about the future of their country and what is going to happen to future generations if they don't respect the people who first started the country.
