If you were on social media over the weekend, you probably saw at least one post about the movie, Deadpool. Premiering on February 12, 2016, Deadpool was released just in time for Valentine’s Day. For the ladies, it featured the handsome, Ryan Reynolds, and for the men, it delivered some action packed fighting scenes, and of course, a few explosions. Directed by Tim Miller, the film has pooled in approximately 333.4 million. While Deadpool was Miller’s big debut, it made such a killing that Deadpool 2 was confirmed to be released in 2017. Reynolds has appeared in other movies centered around superheroes, such as The Green Lantern and even playing Wade Wilson (Deadpool) in X-Men: Wolverine. However, his role in this particular film can easily …show more content…
He worked as a hit-man with a solid forty-nine kills. He lived with his fiancee, Vanessa, played by Morena Baccarinand, and was content with his life until his doctor delivered some bad news. When offered the opportunity to be cured, he takes it, ultimately leaving Vanessa and putting his life on the line. The “cure” doesn’t turn out as it seems, although when has it ever? Wilson becomes immortal but, with one catch. He is covered in scars and burns that make him look deformed, and therefore, cannot face Vanessa. He sets out to get revenge on the man who was in charge of the center that made him this way, Ajax, played by newcomer Ed Skrein. Ajax is the only one who can cure his deformity. Wade takes on the identity of “Deadpool”, an immortal in a red suit that looks like a knock-off of Spider Man. He does not identify as a “super hero” as he doesn’t intend to help anyone but himself. It’s blatant to the audience that Deadpool isn’t your regular “super hero” anyway. He has a peculiar perception of the world and the humor to …show more content…
The one that stands out the most was during an action scene which took place on a main road. The camera seemed to be placed on the road as the cars zoomed over it. It then turned into a reverse angle shot. In the beginning of the movie, when Reynolds first breaks through the fourth wall, he takes the camera in his hand as he moves from the back seat of the car to the front which was unusual. Towards the end of the movie, after an especially intense action scene, there’s a crane shot which shows the enormous amount of damage that was wreaked on the city. The movie ended with a wide shot, as stated by Reynolds who incorporated that term into an indecent but undeniably humorous
The only reason i think this is because Spiderman is known as a hero but he is not portrayed as one in this
In One More Mile to Go, my favorite camera movement is during the scene where Jacoby is thinking about what to do with the body the camera moves backwards as he walks to the garage. We have a medium shot as he is thinking and walking around looking, he turns around and reaches to grab something. The camera zooms out and we see that he has a shovel. We see him move about, still thinking what to do until he finds a sack. We get a medium shot of his hands as he puts the body inside the sack and the camera moves up with him as he lifts the body and leaves it in the trunk. In The Hitch Hiker, the gas station has a lot of movement. Long shot of exterior of the car and as Adams gets out of her car and the camera lifts a little when she stands up and then moves backwards to follow her around the car as she looks around to find a gas station. She keeps walking and as we follow her we see the sign that says “Gas Eats Just Ahead.” We have a medium shot of her as she stops to read the sign, she keeps walking, turns around and gets scared when she stumbles upon a tree. They are both smooth and clean and at first you might not even notice all these changes because the director is recreating how we naturally follow
Each camera angle has an explanation to how it wanted to make the viewer feel in each shot. The camera angles create a dramatic illusion that makes the audience feel they are in the movie. The beach scene is the most intense scene where different potent camera angles are shown. In
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of elusive, charismatic and heroic characters. Marvel has grossed billions of dollars in making family friendly movies for all to enjoy, However, a year ago, production for Marvel's most adult, foul mouthed superhero changed that. Deadpool is perhaps one of the most advertised movies to date, drawing the attention of everyone around the world, even those who essentially don't know who the hero is. Deadpool has become more and more prominent in the MCU as of late, due to a steady stream of social media ads that increase the characters fanbase. Deadpool himself didn't catch the attention of moviegoers,

Let’s discuss a little bit of comic book history for starters. The most iconic superhero in all of American comic book history has got to be Superman. He was created near the beginning of superhero comic books and debuted in Action Comics #1 in 1938[1]. He would remain as the blueprint for many superheroes for years to come as the atypical white American male. But as the years go by there were comic book heroes that came out that go against this archetype such as Wonder

During this interview Wilson was strict when answering questions as well as providing straight answers. The most Wilson divulged with information on was his career starting from the age of thirteen which I found to be intriguing. At first to start off the interview I asked Wilson, “What did you do for a living?” He said, “Survived,” which caused a laugh between the two of us. After that Wilson went

In contrast, Marvel Comics promotes superheroes such as the X-Men, a team of superheroes who possess the X-Gene, a DNA mutation that gives each member a different ability.

Cullen Bunn also identifies between the traits of a hero and anti-hero through documenting Deadpool’s transition between the two.
