United Military Mortgage, LLC has implemented policies and procedures to ensure the adequacy of the hiring, training, systems, monitoring, complaints, and reporting functions relating to lending transactions. All employees involved in the loan origination process are checked against all industry and agency exclusionary lists. Career counselors fill extremely demanding positions requiring an unusual amount of effort to accomplish their mission. The Table of Distribution (TDA) only allows one career counselor position, in every Battalion. The amount of personnel fluctuates between 300-800 Soldiers. As identified above MOS 79S, is currently experiencing a shortage causing an additional workload within a small team of NCOs adding additional stress to an already demanding position. The unique skill set a career counselor possesses are different from any other MOS. Career counselors utilize an automated system called RETAIN. Once a career counselor successfully graduates from the basic career counselor course, they receive access to RETAIN. HQDA and HRC both monitor this system. Only those authorized personnel career counselors have access to this automated system. The Mission of the Army Logistics Management College (ALMC), now referred to as the Army Logistics University (ALU) at Fort Lee, VA is to enhance the readiness and sustainability of United States Forces through training, education, consulting and research in Logistics, Acquisition and Operations Research Systems Analysis. In joint with the ALU, the Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE) runs eight different versions of battalion and brigade-level pre-command branch or technically focused courses. Five of them are conducted at ALU; one of those five course that ALU is responsible for offering is the resident 2-week Sustainment Pre-Command Course (SPCC). The SPCC was once taught at each individual Army branch school. In 1993, ALU was given the mission to train all multifunctional logisticians.
Abrashoff begins the book by informing the reader of how his story begins; when he is given command of the USS Benfold. The Benfold was the Navy’s most advanced guided missile destroyer the Navy had in 1997 and its command was to be one of the Navy’s top innovators. The Article, "Renovating Home Depot," describes how, since the arrival of the new Chief Executive, Robert Nardelli, the business strategy has shifted to a more militaristic style. In the beginning, Home Depot was a "decentralized, entrepreneurial" business, and now is switching to a different management style. Nardelli loves to hire ex-soldiers, and is perhaps using the armed services as a role model for the new business structure. Under Nardelli's leadership, Home Depot is becoming more centralized and the good financial reports following this are signs that it a good strategy (Grow 50).
The military since the Colonial Era has been an impetus for social reform in the United States. The Revolutionary War afforded Black Americans an opportunity to escape from the toils of slavery and fight for freedom. Some Black Americans even earned their freedom by fighting for the Colonists, but still the freedom they fought for wasn’t their own. However, the military was responsible for the freedom of many slaves and some of these freed slaves became legendary soldiers like Salem Poor. His performance in battle gave credibility for future arguments about blacks being allowed to serve.

In order to be considered a profession, the organization must have an ethical code rooted in values, strong trust with its clients, and be comprised of experts within the trade. In the year 1944, US Legislation passed the Servicemen’s Readjustment act, commonly known as the GI Bill of Rights. It is one of the most significant pieces of legislation ever produced by the federal government; one that impacted the United States socially, economically and politically. The GI Bill offers a comprehensive package of benefits, including financial assistance for higher education for veterans of U.S. military service. The benefits of the GI Bill are intended to help veterans readjust to civilian life following service to their country and to encourage bright, motivated men and women to volunteer for military duty. Many factors and contributions have gone into the development of the GI Bill, and it has changed over the years. This research paper will introduce the reader to a brief history of the formation and evolution of the GI Bill, discuss the current benefits that it offers to student populations in response to their specific needs, and introduce current implications that the GI Bill has placed on student veterans and institutions across the nation.
