The employees would be damaged because they this would make their compensatory time of no value. Sickness is no fault of the employee as these things happen. If the only time the employee has is compensatory time and it is used when the employee doesn’t benefit. This is like punishing the employee for being sick.

The employee would care which leave would use because of the benefits it would give to them. The employer has more control based on the leave that is taken by the employee. Sick days are days in which you don’t need an excuse or you don’t need to inform them of, therefore is serves them better if you use up the sick days. Person centred care means basing the care and support of a person around them. Looking at things from their perspective, promoting their beliefs, preference, likes and dislikes. D1: I have decided to look at a 6 year old going through bereavement. Bereavement means to lose an individual very close to you. When children go through bereavement they are most likely to feel sad and upset about the person’s death. Children at a young age may not understand when a family member dies. Children may not understand bereavement. For example a 6 year old’s father been in a car crash and has died from that incident. Death is unpredictable and children can’t be prepared for a death of a family member as no one knows when someone is going to die or not. Unfortunately every child can experience bereavement even when a pet dies. It is important that we are aware that effects on the child so we can support them in the aftermath.

When an employee is out for 12 weeks, it can slow down productivity and causes profit losses for the company due to lack of replacement. Here is an example of a negative impact of FMLA. There are 3 nurses in the ER that are pregnant. From day-to-day, there is a shortage of staff that occurs on the unit. The nurses that are pregnant will be on maternity leave at least 2 months apart. The best thing that management and HR should do is to hire at least 3 per-diem nurses to fill in. What you do not want to happen is the rest of the staff to become overwhelm because of staffing issues. Perspective Stakeholders in health and social care can be referred to a person, group or organization that has interest or concern in an organization. Stakeholders can affect or be affected by the organizations actions, objectives, and policies. What does ‘care’ mean? Care is the provision of what is necessary for your health, welfare and protection of someone or something. However when you talk about ‘care’ in a care practice the term changes and becomes more about enabling people to meet all their needs which would refer to their social, physical, emotional, cognitive and cultural needs. The individual is central to the meaning of care in this context.

Monitoring a health and social care team’s performance is essential so that any threats to its service delivery, are identified early and corrective actions taken. There are two dimensions of team functioning: the tasks the team are required to do, and the social climate that impacts on how they operate. The social climate will determine how team members cope with diversity of opinions, accept difference and resolve conflict.
