Athletic wear has been around for many years. However, Technology was not used in the athletic wear Arena until the late 1990s. The company Under Armour was the pioneer in using technology for athletic clothing. Today, popular companies such as Nike, Reebok and Adidas all have their own athletic wear technology. Additionally, there are now several start-up companies that offer the same quality as the name brands.
