I decided to watch Todo Lo Que Tu Quieras. The main character, Leo, is a mediator, and married to Alicia. They have a four year old daughter named Dafne. Alicia takes Dafne to the park, and has a seizure on the bench. She passes away leaving Leo to care for Dafne. At work, Leo’s old friend, who is also his ex-girlfriend, asks him to help a friend out with a case. The case involves a crossdresser named Alex. Leo and Marta, the ex-girlfriend, eventually get together, but the relationship does not last long. Dafne wanted Marta to be her fake mom, so Leo thought it would not be fair to himself or Marta. Leo tell Dafne Marta will no longer be around, and everything's going to be okay. Dafne asks Her father to wear her mother's lipstick, and he does to make her happy. It escalates from there. Leo starts cross-dressing to make Dafne happy and have a maternal figure in her life. He goes to Alex for help on how to do all of this. At night he dresses as his wife to help his daughter cope. In the end Dfne does not need for him to do this anymore. …show more content…
I did not like it, but I did not dislike it. I only read a small summary of the movie before I watched it. I just saw that it was a drama, and a man's wife dies so he has to raise their daughter alone, so he has to cope with the loss.. It was a good story, and I liked how they showed Leo’s character. He went from homophobic to understanding throughout the movie. Leo has to turn to Alex who he never would have imagined resorting to for help. I like that he realized he was wrong. There was not much dialog in the film, so for a lot of it I was kind of bored. The story was good and easy to follow, but the lack of dialog made me zone out a little. It had its good and not so good in it, but I would recommend it to someone who liked this type of
Overall I think that the show was worth seeing, even though I let my parents pick the film--which I will never do again by the way-- I think that it was a good production. It was a little boring at first, which might have just been because I didn’t really want to see it in the first place, but the storyline was pretty good. I personally like humor, so I tend to pick shows that I know will have some humor, but I’m proud of myself for seeing something outside of my comfort zone.
Miranda's friend talks about how her cousin husband was cheating on her cousin with another woman. Miranda buys a dress a mistress wears, but Dev doesn't notice. They become sexual buddies on Sundays. Her friend's cousin came to town, and asked Miranda to babysit the cousin's child. The child saw Miranda's mistress dress and asked her to put it on.
Overall the film was a very informative film for a more homophobic audience. The content was relatable and connected well with the information and discussions that have been within our society for a long time. It was a well-done film that really questions the homophobic opinions and while this is still a very real debate in today’s society the film does a great job at arguing the homophobic opinions.
In conclusion, if a person is looking for a great movie with suspense and an exciting ending about racism, than this movie would be highly recommended. This movie has several different emotions including, sad, happy, and straightforward. This movie gives the person watching it a great look at how racism was in the 1960’s and how it should've been. No matter what shape, color, or size a person may be, everybody deserves to be treated the same. I really did enjoy watching this movie and I would recommend it to
Cast is important, but a good plot is crucial in the success of a film. So many movies have had great marketing and bombed because the plot was not good. I hate when I go to see a movie and the plot is not interesting. If I pay money for a movie, I want it to be worth it. In a comedy, I look for, a lot of, laughs. That is exactly what this movie gave me, it had it all. They had midgets, catching wives in bed with preachers and anything else you could look for to make you laugh. To fulfill this requirement on my movie list is very important. This movie did just that and exceeded the expectations I had for it.
In my opinion, this movie is boring and confusing for the first time but, from the second time, this movie starts reveal the fascination. At the first time, I do not like this movie so much but after I watched second time, I became to like this movie. If I asked
The book and the movie were both very good. The book took time to explain things like setting, people’s emotions, people’s traits, and important background information. There was no time for these explanations the movie. The book, however, had parts in the beginning where some readers could become flustered.
Moreover, it is a palatable film. It offers a few solid laughs and will provoke some smiles; it’s a fairly typical, unremarkable comedy. While the original film had the breaking of racial stereotypes in mind, this updated version has it more in mind to have fun with them for the sake of the comedy. It is a romantic comedy that touches upon race relations following a fairly well established story-line. I would say that the one redeeming value of the film is the message of "seeing people, not color."
was a spectacular film there were some things that I did not enjoy like, the
...r, this movie is lack of depth of storyline. The audiences can even predict what will happen in the next scenes. Moreover, the ending of this movie is too cheesy and irrational according to me. If only they change the ending to become more interesting and rational, I will give a four or five stars out of five. In spite of a lame twist ending, this movie is a perfect example to show that managers should be able to motivate and challenge their employee. It is important to remember that a happy employee means a productive employee.
I have to disagree with both these reviews. I believed that the story was brilliantly written and the cinematography was beautiful. This movie touched me and had me in tears which believe me is hard to do. I do agree with the New York Times and New Yorker that it was a little dragged out and that Kiera Knightly acting was over rated. Other than that I would defiantly recommend this movie.
Although I enjoyed the main portion of the movie, there were some obvious likes and dislikes in my opinion. I believe that I learned from this movie and it helped me understand more of what the people of that time were feeling.
The movie is a very moving, sensitive and emotional story of redemption. The tale of how a young heartless thug can change into a softhearted guardian. This demonstrates that despite the poor living conditions, awful events and how heartless someone may seem. You can adapt to your surroundings and situations, you can also transform your life. Everyone has good in them you just choose whether to value it and utilize it or not appreciate it and discard it.
If I meet the wrong person or being forced to do something, I should reject and leave immediately. This movie brings a lot of thinking about sexuality, sexual orientation and gender issues, and it does influence audiences in many different
