I have done many projects throughout grade school, middle school, and now high school, but I have never worked so hard on any project like I worked on this. I usually procrastinate and wait until the last minute to do my projects, but this project took days of effort to complete. This is one of my last projects that I will do during my freshmen year, so I wanted to finally showcase what I can do. The hardest part was definitely drawing the mockingbird. It took me two days to draw it just right. I know that this project isn't perfect, but compared to previous projects this one is definitely the best. I also had a lot of fun making it. In Harper Lee's "To Kill A Mockingbird" shows and teaches many lessons throughout the passage. Some characters that learn lessons in this passage are Scout, Jem, and Dill. Scout and Jems father Atticus, is taking a case that affects their lives in so many ways. They all learn new things throughout the story and it impacts their lives greatly. There are lots of things including the trial mostly that change the perspective of the world they live in. The kids are living in the Great Depression and it shows just how bad things really where. Scout, Jem, and Dill have experiences that force them to mature and gain new insight.
The author George Elliot once said “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Appearance can be very misleading, and you shouldn't prejudge the worth or value of something by its outward appearance alone. This philosophical idea has been included in many works of literature, including the timeless classic To Kill a Mockingbird written by Harper Lee. The novel takes place in the town of Maycomb, Alabama during the 1930s. Many citizens of Maycomb tend to make judgements based on outward appearances alone. In the novel, Lee uses minor characters such as Boo Radley, Mrs. Dubose, and Tom Robinson to convey the book’s theme of prejudice.
The novel of To Kill a Mockingbird is set in the timeline and era of the 1930s which was synonymous for the renowned Great Depression. Just to clarify how phenomenal that achievement is, the Bible has been translated into 2,223 different languages, on top of that, it is estimated that over five-billion copies of the bible have been sold. The book is about two young children by the name of Scout and Jem, who slowly lose their innocence and start realizing the world isn’t what they thought it was. Atticus teaches his children this through him defending a black man of rape. Atticus finch is what every young boy should strive to become because he exemplifies courage, wisdom, acceptance/empathy. strength without raising his fists or using a gun.
The Wilson Elementary School Project was our first mural project. It included painting kindness rocks and working on animals cut out that are native to Oklahoma. There was a flow of positive feelings that I felt before and during the completion of the project. As a matter of fact, this experience was valuable because it allowed us to provide the student and teachers of The Wilson Elementary School with a positive and beautiful space to enjoy. All in all, this was a unique project that would possibly have major and promising impacts.

The trusses cause a little pain because it caused our soldering gun to break, making us frantically look for another, connecting them wasn’t that hard just problematic from melting previous solder. Our biggest problem was building a bubble to insert into a hexagon. Our main idea was to melt a thin sheet of Plexiglas, but the plastic would either burn causing it to deteriorate, or do nothing because it would not get hot enough. We learned at this size the only way to make it curve nicely is by using an oven, something none of us own. This left us to not include it into our project. Overall, building the model has taught us that not everything works out, and also how to overcome barriers
In Conclusion, "To Kill a Mockingbird" can be perceived in a number of ways, but, either way you can sympathize with the story. You will still be exposed to the raw truth of racism and stereotyping; much like Scout and Jem. Being a young child growing up in the south; during the great depression none the less can prove to be difficult. The children had been exposed to a great deal from how cold and harsh a person can be toward one another to the even harsher reality of inequality and injustice.
When I was a little kid I use to like to draw pictures of people and nature with crayons.I am still focused on drawing today and really happy I get to express myself that way.School is tough for me and it's nice to have something that is a little more easy for me to do.One summer I decided I would like to draw bees on a honeycomb.I have been fascinated by how bees can create a masterpiece like that.I grab my colored pencils and a drawing tablet.I find a picture of bees and another picture of Honeycombs.As i begin i look at the shape of the honeycombs and sketch them with a graphite pencil.I feel like a bowl of icecream,sweet because i am happy to start and sturdy because i am willing to put in time and effort.
I was excited about the first in class writing because I honestly enjoy writing. I find it way easier to get all my thoughts and ideas out when I’m writing them rather than saying them. I chose to write about the what makes parenting hard prompt. It was very easy for me because I just returned from a trip to visit my sister's family, and watched how this generation's family dynamic works, and what hinders my sisters parenting in some way. I thought this prompt would be an easier write over all because the other prompt was more research based then personal (unless you or someone you know took a year to travel, etc.). The hard part was to get every paper in line with each other because if the little things looked good then the judges will think you put a lot of time and effort into science fair and they might give you a higher score. So I had finished the board and the most difficult part for me, speaking to my class and to the judges. My presentation and speaking skills had to be on point if I want to do well in science fair. I would always be practicing my presentation for the big day. I did not have a lot of time to do this. I was practicing all day and night until the day would come.
