Stories were being told, except we weren’t sure if they were true. Rumours were spreading about how the Taliban treated people, but time went by and nothing changed. When the world started to fall silent, Malala Yousafzai, with all her courage and strength, spoke up. She has suffered for doing that, but she doesn’t regret it. Every word she says is expressed with concern. She knows that even her small voice, can and has, changed the world. Malala Yousafzai is a young activist from Swat Valley, Pakistan. In my opinion she is one of the most influential people living and that’s why I’m going to talk about her struggle, her accomplishments and what she wants and will try to change until the day she dies.
Before, I talk about Malala I’m going to talk about the main group that doesn’t want Malala to be speaking up and the rules that they have enforced in many cities in northwest Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Taliban is an Islamic political movement in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Mullah Mohammed Omar has been the leader of the Taliban since 1994. They formed a government called the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. This government is only diplomatically known in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The Taliban has strict enforcement of the Islamic law and is known for their brutal treatment of women. A few laws that the Taliban have are that men must grow beards and cut there moustaches, Muslim families can’t listen to music and all non-Muslims must wear yellow or carry a yellow clothe. Laws that the Taliban have against women are that they have to wear a burka, they are not allowed to get an education, they always have to travel with a male relative and they aren’t allowed to work. The Taliban also destroy many schools ...

...0 Most Influential People in The World” and was awarded Harvard Foundation’s Peter Gomes Humanitarian Award from Harvard University. I truly believe after writing this essay and reading Malala’s book that she deserve every one of these awards and more.
Malala is only one of the million children suffering and wanting to change the world for the better, except when everyone else was scared to speak up, she did. It’s nearly impossible to say how she changed the world in one sentence, but I’ll try. She was an unknown hero for years and finally she is known worldwide, finally rights for education is an everyday topic, finally the world isn't silent anymore about how the Taliban are treating women and finally we can hear her voice, loud and clear, telling us how and what we should do to have a better future and that’s how I think Malala Yousafzai has changed the world.
In order to change that, Malala started speaking at conventions and conferences. The article, ‘Malala Yousafzai: A Girl with
Malala Yousafzai has made many claims for what she believes in. Those without a voice need to be heard. The taliban cannot quiet her. Nonviolence is one of the World’s greatest traditions. Education is one of the most important human rights. Yousafzai is able to support these claims with the way she speaks. She is splendid at using rhetoric, persuasive language with techniques like figures of speech. Malala Yousafzai uses repetition, pathos, and ethos to support her claims.
Thus, ethos, the building or undermining the credibility of the speaker is seen throughout the speech. The first example of ethos is built by the way Malala connects herself to the people of the UN by referring to herself and her audience as “brothers and sisters;” this phrase causes the audience to pay attention to what she is saying from the beginning of the speech while causing a feeling of kinsmanship. In addition, Malala builds her ethos by keeping a calm, steady voice throughout the duration. Moreover, Malala ethos is strengthened through the phrase, “one girl among many.” Malala wants her audience to view her as just another girl, not a martyr or a Saint. She insists that she was only one of the millions injured and that she is merely speaking for the voices that cannot be heard. Furthermore, Malala’s ethos is enhanced when she insists that she learned peace, compassion, forgiveness, and the concept of change from social activist leaders of the past. This builds her ethos by developing common ground among the audience; thus, the same activist who influenced the common person also affected her for the

“Her primary cause – securing Pakistani girls’ access to education” Education was hard especially for females and Malala helped change that even if she would have to face consequences to which she did. “Malala has become perhaps the worlds most admired children’s-rights advocate, all the more powerful for being a child herself.” At only 14 years old, mala stood up for the females and even got shot, and then survived which helped make it the big cause that it was. Malala Yousafzai’s actions in Pakistan went worldwide to get the support and followers to be the leader she is still to this
When Malala was 15-years old (2012) she was riding a bus home from her school when a member of the Taliban, masked, boarded the bus. After demanding for the identity of Malala, he shot her in the neck. After three months of intensive surgeries and face reconstruction, Malala was released from the hospital she occupied in the United Kingdom. Since then, Malala has been awarded multiple honors and awards for her inspirational actions including the Nobel Peace Prize. Malala’s independence as a women and an education activist has opened the eyes of unknowing people globally. On November 11, 2013, Malala visited the United Nations conference in New York and said, “Let us pick up our books and our pens...They are our most powerful weapons. One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world.” (Yousafzai 310). I am Malala’s theme of independence is shown through all of Malala’s actions and continues to impress all,
Malala Yousafzai is an example of how public support can go a long in the fight of ultra-nationalism. When her right to an education was threatened by the Taliban, rather than remaining silent, she spoke up. The Taliban are a militant group which believe in a very radical and right-wing Islam[1] .The taliban were once
This all happened because she wanted to go to school, she wasn't allowed to. One day, on her way home from school the Taliban entered her van and shot her because she was a girl that wanted an education. Malala believed that everyone no matter what skin color, or what gender should go to school and get a valuable education for a bright and successful future. Malala is a symbol of hope to others because of her story. Most of the world was supporting her because of what she believed. She received letter from people around the world that were inspired by her story and what happened to
Bringing this information to the classroom from a counselor perspective would be done in the developmental lesson and classroom activity. One activity can be, selecting one section of the book “I Am Malala” and asking the students to write their feeling in a form of a poem. These are examples of my own reactions to certain sections of the book. It would be an opportunity to bring awareness to students on how things are different and similar in other parts of the world. I would also like to show the following video to show Malala story to the students because it can be that many do not know who she
Malala is now getting supports from multiple groups around the world. According to a recent interview, Malala says in Urdu, Her sacrifice and her bravery to fight for the benefits of the society have inspired and have garnered support of many people including teenagers and adults.
Malala Yousafzai gives a speech at the United Nations. The terrorist attack made her a strong person, although she is young. She did not give a speech for revenge, however, she finds that talking about the importance of receiving education for all people at the time of the shooting. Further, Malala has a pure heart, so she can’t hate the Taliban. She has learned to be peaceful to all people from Muhammad, the prophet of mercy, Jesus Christ and Lord Buddha.
In high school I learned about Malala Yousafzai and over the years I never allowed myself to forget about her significance and profound leadership abilities. She is a Pakistani activist who, while a teenager, spoke out publicly against the Taliban’s prohibition on the education of girls. She gained global media attention due to surviving an assassination attempt by the Taliban when she was 15 years old. In 2014 Yousafzai was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace at 17 years old for her attributes to children’s rights. Malala became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
This is another challenge because the woman their have no freedom and they can't have any personality whatsoever. Another challenge is, “In January 2009, the Taliban ordered all girl’s schools to close. That included Malala’s school, which her father had owned for over a decade. It was devastating news. School was one of the most important parts of Malala’s life…”(7).
Education is the Key Malala Yousafzai is an ordinary Pakistani girl, except for the fact that she is completely different from all of her other female comrades. She believes education is a right for everyone, and does not understand why the boys can play cricket while the women are stuck in the house cooking food for their husbands and family. Her own family, however, supports her, and gives her the freedom to a good education. From the introduction of I am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up For Education and Was Shot by the Taliban to the end of Part I, Yousafzai can be seen as a persistent individual, striving to pass on a message about the horrors of living in a typical war zone, dictated by an alarming group of individuals restricting women’s rights and claiming lives for their own benefits.
Malala Yousafzai Malala Yousafzai is a young girl with big dreams. She has made a huge impact today, not only in her community but worldwide. She was born and raised in Pakistan. Malala is still at a young age of 18 years old. During her life in Pakistan, she realized that there were people trying to restrict education and stop girls from going to school.
