This explains the beginning of my life all the way to the end of my life. My life from the beginning was very fun as I grew up living with my mom’s friend and my friend. But there were a lot of fights and I was very hyper back then. I have ADHD so back then when I was little; I was very hyper and wouldn't stop moving around the place. I always was annoying back then and never seemed to get my homework done at school. I was born at Kaiser Hospital during the year 1996. The first place I lived was on the street Via Harriet and was right next to a train. It was always noisy when the train passed by because it shook the house and scared all the animals. It wasn’t the best place to live, but we eventually moved to the hills, I don’t remember where though. It was an apartment that was somewhat close to San Lorenzo, it was in Hayward. The first school I went for Kindergarten was Community Christian Center (CSS) and continued all the way to 4th grade. That was the best time of my school year; I had a lot of friends there. My grandmother worked there for 1st and 2nd grade and I still remember when I was in her class. She was a Teacher’s assistant and sat in the back of the room to help people. During 4th grade I was told that I was not focusing well and they sent me to Bay Elementary. I went to Bohannon Middle School for grades 6th to 8th grade, it wasn't the best school, but the teachers there were nice. I had this favorite teacher that was named Ms. Stevens. She was the best teacher I ever had because she ran this club for chess. Every Tuesday she would run chess club after school. At this time, she still works there and runs chess club, I saw her last year for a visit and will visit her this year too. I am going to Arroyo High Sch... ... middle of paper ... ...it. Getting a higher degree affects the amount of money you get in the future. With a master’s degree, I would most likely be able to get any job, excluding the other requirements. My second event after college would be buying a two story house. I want to have a house that has two floors because it is roomy and I tend to get claustrophobic in small houses. If I were to get roommates, a big house would be perfect because you still have a lot of room. The downside is that the insurance might cost more. If I had roommates, I could still be paid rent. This explains my life in the past and what my life can be in the future. I wish to move to Colorado, a relaxing area that snows. My friend lives in Colorado; he said that it’s a very nice place to live. The main reason I’m moving there is to get off the fault of Hayward. Colorado rarely has earthquakes, so it’s peaceful.
I went to North Everetts Headstart Center,Williamston Primary School,E.J Hayes Elementary School, and Riverside Middle School. My favorite teacher in Williamston Primary was Ms.Perry,my favorite teacher at E.J Hayes Elementary was Mrs.Fitzgerald, and
Early in the morning, twenty four years ago on the twelvth day in the month of July, a baby boy was born at St. Mary's hospital in Athens, Georgia. The Pollock household of three had grown by one. Jennifer, the new boy's three year old sister, had already named him. The new boy was to be called Jody Lamon Pollock. Jody was the name she picked, and Lamon was the mother's father's name. So this is how I came to be Mr. Jody Lamon Pollock.
When I was six years old, I moved from Ottawa, Ontario to Edson, Alberta, then later to Sylvan lake, Alberta. Even though I was young when I moved to Sylvan lake, I remember the area, the house, and the people perfectly. I was around eight years old when I moved from Edson to Sylvan Lake. We moved from there because it wasn’t a good area for children to grow up. Edson was full of people who did drugs, sold drugs, and wanted drugs. Edson was filled with people who were secretly in groups of bad people who did bad things. My mother didn’t want my brother and I to grow up in that environment, hence why we moved to Sylvan Lake.
I was born in Escondido, California on March 10th, 1998 to my amazing parents Dennis and Brandi Shenenberger. My parents have always liked to say that I’ve been difficult even before I was born due to the fact my mother had to be put on long-term bed rest to prevent her from going into pre-term labor. Since I was the oldest child and the second oldest grandchild on both my maternal and paternal side I was undoubtedly spoiled as a child.
Whereas having the degree and experience would show the employers that I have the skills and knowledge of doing the job up to the standard. This would also this an advantage as it would allow me to earn higher wages compared to people that don’t have degrees. Having done an undergraduate degree, it would also give me the experience of university itself.
I loved how he gave everyone in our homeroom nicknames, for instance, mine was “Higgy-Baby”. To this day I do not know how he came up with a name like that, but I know that while I was in his classroom, I was never called just Alyssa. While I learned many new and interesting things in his science class, I remember more of the life lessons that he taught during his homeroom. He was one of the teachers that was there for me when life got rough, he looked out for me during and outside of class. For me, knowing that I had him keeping an eye out for me made me feel safer going to school again.
In addition to all of that, a master's degree or any kind of degree looks good on any application. So many more doors are opened to you if you have a degree instead of just a high school diploma. With the popularity of college lately, there is so much more competition in the workforce. With a degree you would not only have that on your applications, but you’d have the knowledge that you would need to attain the right job.
My first classroom experience was a preschool at Kipps Elementary. The students were all considered At Risk. I had never heard of the term before and soon learned the sad stories of each child. They were families from low socioeconomic status and most were from a one parent household with multiple brothers and sisters. A few of the children had to move in with a relative because their parent was struggling with a drug addiction or in jail. The first week was such an eye-opener because I was raised in a loving family with parents that were actively involved in my education. I was now looking into the eyes of innocent three and four year olds who, through no fault of their own, were dealing with hardships and personal roadblocks that I had never before witnessed. My heart sank just thinking of my childhood; the family parties, swimming in the pool, and the ski trips, when most of the faces in front of me did not even get a breakfast served at home. I have always been a caring and compassionate in...
Today was the worst day of my life. My mom gave me good and bad news. The bad news was so horrible. The good news was very surprising. The bad news was so bad, that I started crying. My mom told me that I was MOVING!!!
The teachers of the school were very supportive, I loved them all. Being at school is very good in terms of dealing with different people. We were exposed very early to this world; where there are different attitudes and beliefs. I think having teachers with totally different minds has a role in our social intelligence development. I learned how to deal with people even if their beliefs, thoughts and styles do not meet mine.
When you want to advance in your field you must be able to obtain certifications in many different programs. When you have a certification it says something about what you know as an engineer, “Certifications provide status to those who have proven their knowledge and give employers a benchmark standard for measuring employee candidates” (Ricci, 2012). Before you apply for a mechanical engineering job you should get a bachelor but now in the workplace you will need a master’s degree to have a chance of moving up in the workplace. Bureau of Labor Statistics (2015) says, “Some colleges and universities offer 5-year programs that allow students to obtain both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree”. Having this choice will allow you to save money on college and then be able to have time for internships and possible a job while you complete your
One of them was that I was on my journey with someone. I was on the journey with my boyfriend Dusty whom I have been with for four years. I am more like myself when I am with someone, especially Dusty, than when I am by myself. I do think that spending time with just yourself is a waste of time. You should just be out talking to people because who knows when that dreaded day of death will come. I think that you should just seize the moment and spend time with people. When I am by myself, I am quiet and withdrawn, but when I am with people, I talk up a storm and have a fun time just being me. I donÕt hold things back or try to act like someone IÕm not.
A baby’s life helps to form and shape the future for that child; this goes the same for me. My birth, my sign, and my name, all relate to the way I live and act today. Many people may not see this connection for themselves, but it takes a little bit of research and thinking to come to realize why people are the way they are. Every day and every action that a child experiences can influence their actions as an adult.
I have a very fulfilling feeling about what I have been able to accomplish in my life so far. I want the absolute best for myself and those close to me. I often go above and beyond to help those around me succeed and be the best version of themselves that they can possibly be.
I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took myself were I wanted to go. Once I entered high school I changed the way I thought. This is why I chose to go to college. I believe that college will give me the keys to unlock the doors of life. This way I can choose for myself where I go instead of someone choosing for me.
