Imaginization In this chapter I mostly describe what is creative leadership, how it consist. As a result, it could help we answer into my problem statement. Because here we find out which role act creative leaders in the companies, whether they are important. One of the important component for the creativity is imagination . Without it you just cannot be creative, because it is inseparable from each other. Without imagination you cannot create, because firstly you imagine something and then start to create, start to think how you can create thing which you imagine. Furthermore, talking about „what imaginization consists Morgan „emphasized the following five points““ (Morgan): imaginization is about improving our abilities to see and understand situations in new ways, imaginization is about finding new images for new ways of organizing, imaginization is about the creation of shared understandings, imaginization is about personal empowerment and imaginization is about developing capacities for continuous self-organization. Thus, some of them I try to describe. First of all, every people imagine the same thing differently. For example, if we ask children, farmers, etc. question what pig is everyone answers differently. Children firstly think about the fairytale with three pigs, farmer say that pig is source of living and they look at pig quality that later on can sell the pig and that earn some money, and for the wolf pig is food. This says us that everybody have their frame of understanding about the things in their particular way. The same would be and with the understanding what it is organization and management, how to design and manage organizations, how to find a good way to communicate with your employees that they hear you. ... ... middle of paper ... ...n each other to achieve a goal. In other words, every team member understand that if he/she will not made his/her part, his/her job on time then the next step also will not be made on time. Moreover, as Leigh Thompson state that “collaboration is the art and science of combining people’s talents, skills, and knowledge to achieve a common goal. Creative collaboration is the ability of teams and their leaders to organize, motivate, and combine talent to generate new and useful ideas.”(Thompson, p.1, 2013). As a result, in companies we that kind of leaders who can find and incorporate people with different skills and knowledge in one team where their can work together and also can share their skills and knowledge with each other. When it is done then team can meet the creative challenges and also be a good helper for the company development and for long- term survival.

This article mainly discussed about leadership and creativity from the problem-solving perspective by concerning outcomes from previous studies. The purpose of the article is to develop the individual facts, which is focusing on cognitive processes related to creative outcomes, and to give suggestions of how leaders can enhance the creative problem-solving of their employees. However, there are more complex facts that may affect the creative products in terms of contextual factors; for example, different types of leadership that may affect employee creativity are not fully discussed in this article. Secondly, there are some shortcomings of the research approach by using analytical research method. Next, alternative research method will be suggested in the third part. Therefore, the main purpose of my essay is to demonstrate that there are more factors need to be considered in the process of creative problem-solving and to explain why some other research methods should be used in this focusing topic.
Andrew Carnegie said, “Teamwork is the ability to work together towards a common vision. It is the fuel that allows common people to obtain uncommon result.” Working with this definition, teamwork is the ability to agree together. Working together is a decision of making oneself available for a common vision. The results of a team will transcend the outcome of an individual.
The need for college graduates with creativity skills is “changing how the workplace” is structured or managed and “what people do.” These “changes” are the “center” of interpreting the basis for ideas. The future of the company depends on “how well it acquires, interprets, and acts” on the given “information.” “Today the spread of information technologies is bringing about a sea of change in the business” environment (Goleman and Kaufman par 43). “Since creative problem-solving requires the psychological commitment of the whole person, the modern workplace must undergo vital changes” (Goleman and Kaufman 46). Creativity has been a major influence when dealing with these changes brought on by the innovative technologies and that is why we should have creativity studies to guide the transition. Also, for students to have these skills before they enter the workforce will benefit them on so many levels. They won’t have to spend more time learning these skills because they already have what the job
When composing a team, your ideal team will consist of individuals who have the skills and experience to accomplish the task, as well as, the motivation needed to be successful. (Dyer, 37) Team composition is the configuration of a team, normally based on attributes of the team and the task given. The team leader’s job is to identify those individuals who will benefit the team in completing the task. Effective team leaders set the clear vision of the team’s goal, establish a clear direction towards achieving the goal, motivate team members, include the ideas and opinions of team members in decision making, and coaching those who struggle through to success. Successful teams should include members that have strong technical skills, knowledge
When teams begin to “thinking together”, include sharing their insight, experience, information, knowledge and abilities with each other in a team on how to improve the things better
One definition of a team is "A small number of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common purpose, common performance goals, and approach for which they hold themselves mutually responsible"¨ (Moorhead & Griffin, 2001, p.604). Another definition is "A group of two or more entities linked by a common bond to foster the achievement of a common goal" (Chillis, 1999). Whichever definition is used it is understood that commonality is the guiding force for a successful team. With their purpose and goals defined and accepted the team becomes interdependent; they coordinate their various skills and abilities to direct themselves toward the desired result.
In a team-oriented setting, everyone contributes to how well the group succeeds overall. You work with fellow members of the group to complete the work that needs to be done. Having the right people in the correct roles is an important factor in measuring the success of a team, where you are united with the other members to complete the main goals. Every group is made up of definite strengths and weaknesses. Our team's 3-5 major strengths necessary to work accordingly consist of Informer, Summarizer, Orienter, Piggy-Backer, and Encourager. One of our strengths as a team is that we get input from everyone involved. Every member of our team is a leader in some way. Part of being a good leader is knowing how important it is to receive the best ideas from each member of their team. We attend group meetings where we discuss any challenges, issues, and problems. At these meetings, we often exchange ideas or brainstorm new ones with each other and come up with the best and most creative team solutions as potential answers to those perceived problems.
In this article, it discusses creativity in the young children and how to promote it. As teachers in the classroom, there are cognitive skills goals that should be promoted inside the classroom such as color recognition, social behavior, and numeration skills. With all the time that is put into these cognitive skill goals, we intended to forget the importance of nurturing the children’s abilities to be creative. The power of creation can increase a child’s ability to have a want to learn and support their intellectual development. When defining creativity it focuses on the thought process which the article defined as the breaking up old ideas, making new connections, enlarging the limits of knowledge, the onset of wonderful ideas.
(1) I would like to create an optimum work environment by demonstrating collaborative behavior myself. This will inspire my team to follow or model the same behavior (Gratton and Erickson, 2007). (2) I will also allow myself adequate time daily to coach my team on the basis of creativity and innovation to improve business performance (Coutu and Beschloss, 2009). I will give clear direction to my team as to where we are going as a team together. According to Coutu & Beschloss (2009) unless the leader provides a clear direction, there is a real risk that different members will pursue different plans. That is why it is important to articulate a clear direction for my team to makse that everyone is on the same page as we’re moving forward (Coutu and Beschloss, 2009). (3) I will establish a sense of community – When people feel a sense of inclusivity, they are more likely to reaching out to others and share their knowledge to improve effective collaboration in a creative and innovative way (Gratton and Erickson,
The manager should be able to select and know these factors. As organization is created systems by people, the internal factors are mainly the result of management decisions. Not all of the internal factors are completely controlled by the management. Organization is influenced by many environmental factors. In the new millennium we have to learn how to live in a market economy. And the most important condition for this is a highly skilled managers. Ability to identify and analyze the internal elements of the organization and external factors is the key to the success of the business. The main factors in the organization that require management attention are objectives, structure, tasks, technology and people. An organization can be seen as a means to achieve the objectives that allows people to perform collectively what they could not carry out individually. Goals are desired outcome, which aims to achieve a group working together. The main objective of most organizations is profit. Income is a key indicator of the organization. People are the basis of any organization. Without people there is no organization. They shape the culture of the organization and its internal climate. They determine what the organization is. Manager generates frames, establishes a system of relations between people and include them in the process of
Within the organizational structure of most businesses you will likely find management and leadership coexisting. Commonly, the words are often substituted for one another. However, each word has a distinctly different definition. A manager does not necessarily make a good manager. Management is defined as those individuals in an organization that have the authority and the responsibility to manage the organization through the control of production processes and ensuring that they operate efficiently and effectively. Leadership is defined as the skills and ability to set future goals in accordance with the organizational goals and to communicate those goals to other employees in such a way that they voluntarily and harmoniously work together to accomplish those goals for the benefit of the organization. In this paper, I will differentiate between management and leadership.
Facilitative leadership is defined as developing shared governance structures, demonstrating trust in teachers, and encouraging teacher input, autonomy and innovation, giving rewards, and providing support; enabling others to act is defined as supporting other people's decisions, allowing people to choose how to do their work, developing cooperative relationships, listening to diverse points of view, ensuring that people grow in their jobs, and treating people with dignity and respect (Blase & Blase, 1996; Kouzes & Posner, 1995).
Creativity is an important aspect of life, as important as that of reception since that’s what shapes our world the way we want it to be in. It helps us in the creation of new extraordinary ideas, the ideas which are able to take over a whole market, or transformation of old concepts, that have no place in this modern world, to newer theories and products. Creativity takes the cluttered ideas in a human mind to their ideal combination and finally onto their physical existence through a series of steps of creative process, says the research of Henri Poincare and Jacques Hadamard.
A leader can be a manager, but a manager is not necessarily a leader. The leader of the work group may emerge informally as the choice of the group. If a manager is able to influence people to achieve the goals of the organization, without using his or her formal authority to do so, then the manager is also demonstrating leadership. This paper discusses the roles and responsibilities of an effective leader in any organizational culture.
