The Path “There is a Power whose care/ Teaches thy way along a pathless coast-/ The desert and illimitable air-/ Lone wandering, but not lost.” This stanza from William Cullen Bryant’s “To a Waterfowl” raises some questions. Who or what is the “Power” that leads me? Where do I think this path is going? Why do I trust this “Power” to lead me down this path? I believe that the “Power” that leads me is the God of the Bible and He leads me on the path he has laid out for me. As previously stated, I believe that the “Power” that leads me is the God of the Bible. I believe it is the God of the Bible because as I read the Bible I see many ways in which God reveals Himself. God reveals Himself to me by nature, the order of all living things, the emotions I am able to feel, and the historical evidence of His existence and influence of the nation of Israel. I also believe it is God by the path I am following now, as it is so unique to me and my life that the only possible way the events of the path could fall into place so perfectly is by the hand of a perfect God. …show more content…

Although I do not know for certain what kind of engineer, I am certain that he wants me to build and create things that will help other people in many different ways. These ways may be medical, common convenience, and space exploration. I also think that He will lead me to have some form of political career. He may not want me to become President of the United States of America, but I am sure that He wants me to influence the world governments in such a way that it will bring glory and honor to His name. I would rather bring glory and honor to God’s name than follow my own selfish ambitions. The reason for this can be found in the Bible, “For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans for you to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11
