Recommended: Law enforcement career path

To imply that I have always known what I wanted to become in life would be an incorrect statement to make. All I ever wanted to do is acquire a good education in engineering, work, make money, and help people.
But then I read a book called “Erie Canal” - a story of how the then mayor of New York coordinated the construction of a manmade waterway, transportation system, via the Hudson, that linked the Atlantic Ocean to New York and all the way to the Great Lakes. It was a huge milestone that changed the commerce and in most part, economy of the United States for life. This story became my inspiration- my goal to combine knowledge of engineering with innate hospitality, to impact lives came alive.
