Hello fellow Classmates, I am Jason Conway. I currently live in Modesto, Ca, where I was born and raised. I am 36 years old with a beautiful wife and an 9-month old baby boy. I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration-General at Liberty University. I work in full-time ministry at the Modesto Gospel Mission, and have been on staff there for 8 years as the Operations Manager. I am also a Campus Pastor for Celebration Center in Oakdale, Ca where we are on our 2nd year of ministry at this location. My wife Gina is also currently enrolled in LUO, and we look forward in seeing what God has purposed for us. Jeremiah 29:11 states it perfectly “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future”. Does the mission statement align with the educational goals you have established for yourself? Why or why not? Liberty University mission statement is exactly what I was looking for in a College. To engage in a major field of study that is built on a solid foundation of Christ is key. To travel this road of higher education and approach it with a school serving the Lord, will be the key to my education goals. I love the fact that Liberty will be providing me with a world class education, while praying for me. Matthew 28:19 comes to mind,” Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. Liberty University is making disciples for Jesus Christ, sending them out among all nations, in all fields. What do you think are the main values of a Christian liberal arts education? I think having a Christian liberal arts education allows God to be brought back in to the college curriculum. A college community residential and online, pursuing education while standing on the foundation of Jesus, glorifies our God. Sincerely, Jason Conway ID:L24714773
Interview Task 1 | Zachary Geller Research: I did not know exactly what brand of “smart” board we are talking about A google search for “smart boards cbsd” brought up a link about SMART software training for teachers https://www.cbsd.org/Page/21533 [Link 1] This led me to believe that “SMART” is the actual brand of software + equipment that cbsd may be using Googling ‘“SMART” NOTEBOOK SOFTWARE’ brought up https://education.smar So after finding the device manufacturer's website I was able to find troubleshooting links under their support page You can choose which specific model the teacher uses and that provides additional troubleshooting manuals Attempt and Problem Solving: Now the issue here is that the ticket provided to the IT department has minimal helpful information. We only got “it was an emergency.”
The question today is whether Alex McKinnon should sue the National Rugby League for the injuries he sustained in a game last year. Well today learned colleagues, I will argue that he should not sue the NRL on the basis of negligence. First and foremost, on behalf of the National Rugby League and myself, we would like to extend our condolences for such a horrendous situation and we wish him all the best.
Rick Hoffman is known for playing the role of Louis Litt on Suits. On July 9, outside a Toronto, Canada, lounge called 70 Down Rick was seen having a total meltdown and yelling at people. Radar Online shared a video of Rick Hoffman and what went down on this night. Rick was taken out of the club by a bouncer after the way he was acting.
Another case is that of 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson whose death was initially ruled the result of accidental suffocation. A second autopsy produced a different conclusion, but when the second autopsy was performed, his body had been stuffed with newspaper, and his organs were missing ("Organ Trafficking, Melanin Theory & the Fountain of Youth -," n.d.). The brain, heart, lungs and liver were missing. He also discovered Johnson's death was due to blunt force trauma to the right side of his neck (Archer,
The case study on Kevin Miller is very challenging. Kevin Miller is White 5th grade student, and his parent are very supportive. Kevin has a problem with attention span; consequently, he I has been identified as a candidate for Greentree Elementary School Gifted and Talented Program. I will attempt to describe the issues related to Kevin’s moral judgement and self-concept; furthermore, I will make recommendations on his part.
Gregory Lee Johnson was convicted for desecration of a venerated object; a violation of a Texas Statute in the County Criminal Court No. 8 of Dallas County by Judge John C. Hendrik. He sentence was one year in prison and a fine of $2000.
We each receive our own divine call from God. Sometimes this call alines with our own aspirations and goals, and other times it doesn’t. After the reading Gary Selby’s paper on Vocation I was left uncertain if my career goals and works were the same as God’s vocation for me. I have chosen to major in Sports Administration to pursue a career in the Lakers’ front office. This might also be God’s calling for me but, I’m at an uncertain moment in my life to know for certain if this is my ultimate calling.
A healthy set of identical twin boys, Bruce and Brian Reimer were born in August of 1965 to Janet and Ron Reimer in Canada. At the age of eight months old, the twins were recommended to undergo a circumcision because they had a hard time urinating due to the condition phimosis. Unfortunately, during the procedure, the apparatus malfunctioned and it damaged Bruce’s penis. His parents then contacted Dr. John Money who was a medical psychologist at Johns Hopkins. He advised the Reimers to raise Bruce Reimer as a girl. Dr. Money convinced the parents that Bruce will be able to live a happy life as a girl because growing without a penis would be devastating. Bruce was named Brenda after the sex reassignment surgery at the age of 21 months old in 1967. Bruce was castrated and a vagina was constructed. The parents accepted their daughter and devotedly raised her as a girl named Brenda with help of the estrogen supplements to feminize the body and grow breast. The parents were ordered not to tell Brenda the truth of her gender.
Like stated before, God had a big plan for us and he still has one now. If you decide to give your heart to God, he will bless you and guide you into the correct path. God already gave us many
God has created me with a specific purpose and with God’s help I know I can discover my true calling. Every one of us has three specific callings:
How can an idea be the real world when God created the world, you and me? God has created me to do good and not evil, to be pleasing in His sight. My purpose is to teach and train others. Proverbs 22:6 say’s Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it. As a future educator if we train our students to be honest, trustworthy, dependable, showing love, being respectable, being a role model, having compassion and meeting their needs. They will never forget. What I most value is time. Once you lose it, you cannot get it back. I have wasted so much time on things that just didn’t matter and at this time in my life it is so valuable. What I have left, I will use it for what counts. One of the principle I will use is the Word of God. The Bible has so many principles and lessons for examples that will guide me. 2 Timothy 4:2 say’s Preach the word in season: reprove, rebuke, exhort with long suffering and doctrine. I will stand on that verse. It tells me that, things will not always go as plan, but never give up. Teach until something
To pray for, love on, and disciple those who the world has gave up on. This is what God has called me to do. And Colorado Christian University can play a major part in that vision by helping me receive a better understanding and education. You see my past, present, and future vision is all entangled up in one to fulfill a commission given by our Lord for everyone who believes. With the experience I have already been blessed to encounter thus fare in my life; the education will not only educate me on many areas that will help the vision but also give hope to all those who may have been down the same path I once was on. To give them hope that if a hopeless, heroin addicted gang member can further his education, “so can I”. My past drives me to reach greater limits of education for a personal satisfaction. My present will encourage others to pursue their dreams. The education I desire to receive from Colorado Christian University will better equip me to fulfill the vision God has for me. The ultimate goal for this desired education is to win more souls and better train disciples for Christ. This is the goal and education is one of the
Dave Armstrong is about to graduate from Harvard Business School and is facing three career options. The decision problem that Armstrong should be considering is not which of these three jobs should he take, but rather what job will satiate his career goals. By asking this, Armstrong can gain a complete perspective of his options instead of being confined to three career options that may not be in his best interests. His objectives are not clearly outlined in the case; however, we can infer from the manner in which he is describing the jobs that he would like to have ownership in a company, enjoys thrilling non-office jobs, and wants to grow his network. Also, he has to take into consideration his wife’s objectives for him of having a job
Focusing in on the commitments that I have made will place order and hierarchy in my life so that God may work in it as He pleases. I want to fully commit my life and vocation to God so that His glory may be seen in every aspect. Since the most important thing to God is building His kingdom by constantly bringing home His children, I plan to order my life in such a way that allows me to be a blessing to others. To live a sacrificed life means giving up things that this world labels as riches. Living for others and with others is the way lived His life and Jesus knew that He was modeling it for the generations to come. We cannot do life or ministry alone as we do not and are not able to possess all of the spiritual grace gifts. This sacrificed life indeed requires a disciplined life and a genuine commitment to fulfil God’s will in our
Throughout my life I have encountered the chance to experience position of being a leader. Being part of groups in university for class presentations, being the organizing secretary of my campus fellowship, being a youth leader in my church and the church admin, also being part of a family. Leaders are charismatic, inspirational and trust worthy. I have gained some important qualities of being a good leader through these experiences. Most of the valuable leadership’s characteristics that I obtained and strengthened are: learn to become a better leader every day, how to be a team player, to be a better listener, to be an effective communicator, to have more patience, not afraid of constructive criticism, to be outspoken, and to be a problem solver. Even though I have gained a lot, I still have more things to learn to become a better leader such as being more assertive, being more disciplined, becoming a better public speaker, and learn how to be realistic and not too optimistic. You are a leader if someone else choses to follow you.
