My Dream Job My career plan is to go into mechanical engineering. A mechanical engineer is the person who designs and make machines like generators. Engineering is a difficult and competitive field. Engineering requires a bachelor's degree and a good understanding of STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math). I would have to pass an engineering exam to get my license. Some school near me that offer the degree I want are Michigan, Michigan State, Michigan Tech, and Western Michigan.
Engineering is a good fit for me because it involves lots of math and problem solving which are two of my favorite things to do. Also I am good at working with my hands and with other people. Mechanical engineering requires a good understanding of math and science

Those improvements will greatly improve my score because they will help me to understand the questions better thus having better chance at getting the right answer.
7 Habits The book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” by Sean Covey he provides 7 habits to help you improve. They are separated into two parts called private and public victories or Personal and relationship bank accounts.
Personal Bank Account- This is how we feel about/ see ourselves. Our self worth is like a bank account that you need to put deposits into. We need to start with small deposits and build up to our goals. Personal Analysis: I am good at being honest with myself and doing acts of kindness for others, but I need to do better at being gentle with myself, tapping into talents, keeping promises to myself, and renewing myself. I can help others but I rarely help

You can only control you and your life, you can’t control anyone else’s life just your own. Be like a glass of water that doesn’t fiz rather than a can of coke that does fiz. I am good at being proactive most of the time but I am occasionally more reactive and that is definitely something a need to try and get better at. I need to stop reacting so much on impulse.
Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind- Have an idea where you want to end up from the beginning and writing your goals is very important. Make sure that you keep your goals in mind as you make plans for the future and as you make decisions about relationships. A mission statement is like a tree with deep roots that gives you guidance. Set goals that can be accomplished but take hard work to achieve. I am good at setting goals but I never write them down and that is something that I really need to work on.
Habit 3: Putting first things first- Pick up a planner and be a prioritizer and not a procrastinator. Never let your fear make decisions. Get out of your comfort zone and into the courage zone. I am good at getting out of my comfort zone but I need to work on being less of a
Habit 3 is Put First Things First. Personally, I struggled with putting first things first as I was a procrastinator but, I have finally conquered myself and I am no longer in Quadrant 1! You see, there are different time quadrants which tell you if you are a 1. Procrastinator, 2. Prioritizer, 3. Yes-Man and 4. Slacker. You need to always stay on top of things and stay in quadrant 2 but it’s not easy, so you must work very hard for it to become a natural thing for you. Another way to becoming a prioritizer is to realize what your big rocks are and what your small rocks are. In other words, take notice of what is important first and those will be your big rocks to accomplish first. Only then will you have space for all the small rocks. Lastly, don’t let fear control you, control your fear. It’s okay to make mistakes if you’re trying to do the right thing. On page 121 in the 7 Habits book, Sean Covey says “Winning means rising each time you fail.” This is telling you that although you failed, if you are willing to rise and try again and pick up your broken pieces, that is winning. This is a hard habit to conquer but once you do it, it will change your
Do you remember what it felt like to be a teen and wonder what your future would become? That is right where I am at. As a freshman in high school, I have begun thinking about what my future in life will be. Which school, what career path, and where? All of these options are very overwhelming. At the moment, I would like to follow the path of engineering, manufacturing, and technology, and pursue college degrees in computer science and mechanical engineering. In order to achieve my dream, I can use background career knowledge, ACT test requirements, and habits designed to help you get to where you want to go.
Self-image is how someone looks at themselves. Covey does not want teens to look at themselves negatively. He feels that if you look at yourself in a negative way, you can not be successful in life. Habit 1 strongly supports the idea of self-image by saying to be proactive. In order to do this, teens have to take over their own life and make their own decisions and to stop being reactive. If teens can realize that it is their life and not somebody else’s, then they will start looking at themselves differently. Covey also felt that setting and achieving your goals was a way to succeed in life because without goals, you would have no purpose in life. Habits 2 and 3 will help teens set and achieve their goals in life. Habit 2 states that you should begin with the end in mind. Sometimes, it is okay to go with the flow and live spontaneously; but in order to get somewhere, you have to think about the end result and then start on your path to get there. The third habit is to put first things first. What is the point of setting a goal if you aren’t going to make it one of your top priorities. Teens need to put their priorities first and then do the things that are not very important in their down time. There isn’t a habit that is specifically created for building up positive relationships, but there is a section of the book dedicated to it. Covey calls this section “The Relationship Bank Account.” This section gives a handful of good tips that will help you build up positive relationships with your friends and family. One of his tips was to listen rather than just hear. Covey feels that most people can hear, but few people actually listen and respond truthfully. Another tip given was to keep your promises. If you keep promises, the person will begin to trust you and will feel that they can count on
My psat scores are reading 227, writing and language 219, evidence based reading and writing 223, math total 233.My identified weakness is English, and my strength is math. Three goals to improve would be to read, write, and study more to improve my education.and i need to improve these skills because they are my weaknesses.
We must focus on the most important things to us than the more required because when you focus on something that is important to you, you will do it with passion. However, when what you do is the most urgent, you do it in a way to get it over with. Habit 3 presents the idea of remaining focused throughout whatever you do and applying your values to whatever decision you decide to make. Stephen Covey even describes this through the quote "The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities."
Habit One, from Sean Covey’s informative book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens”, tells how the reader can be proactive. Covey shows this by stating that even though life has many difficulties, the reader can still focus on their own self love and happiness to change reactive actions into proactive actions. Likewise, Dave Pelzer’s “A Child Called It” explores the first habit, “Be Proactive”, through many actions and quotes throughout his
Self-discipline is that driver, which will get you off your butt every day so that you will actually take the action, you need to take to succeed. The sooner you start down the road
The seven habits Covey summaries in the text are Be Productive, Begin with the End in Mind, Put First Things First, Think Win/Win, Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood, Synergize, and Sharpen the Saw. He describes how adopting these seven habits teach one to be their true selves, to be authentic, to live with self-respect, and to do things with honor. He emphasizes that it is necessary to identify the interdependence that individuals each required with the specific skills it takes to become highly effective. The authors’ intent is to empower persons to significantly enhance their routine competency through awareness by embedding these seven habits.
I am a very reactive person. After reading about the “social weather” I realized that it was completely true about myself. My mood and behavior very much so revolves around other people. My emotional life revolves around other people. A way I could change is by not letting other people affect me. If I learn to take responsibility of my choices and realize that the things that happen to me are the product of my actions and choices, I will be a more proactive person, thus making me a more effective
Possessing the basic knowledge in the field of physical sciences and the intuition in them made me to pick up Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as my majors for the Higher Secondary Education. After the completion of my secondary education, I felt that engineering was the only field which can transform and transfer my dreams in the field of sciences into a real one and also it would give me an opportunity to learn and explore how the fundamentals of science are appl...

My interest in the field of Automobile goes back to my early years in high school which is when I decided to pursue a career in engineering. As a child I was always fascinated by the very concept of automobile. Further, my father’s constant involvement in the automotive industry as an insurance claims assessor further enhanced my interests in automobiles. He was the one responsible for showing me the correct path to pursue my career in automobile field. Hence, after having completed my primary education, I decided to delve straight into the world of mechanics and engineering and pursued a diploma in mechanical engineering followed by a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Since there were very few options in India & there was no direct path to get into automobile field.
