The MBTI, Myers-Briggs Personality Test, is a tool used to analyze and define a person’s personality, along with the strengths and weaknesses that should come with it, and is often used as a method of influencing a person’s career path and/or their place in a company. The test results in you being assigned four letters based off the groups: introverted/extraverted, sensing/intuition, thinking/feeling, and judging/perceiving. According to this quiz, my type is INTJ: introverted, intuitive, thinking, and judging. Career paths that are listed as compatible with this personality type are computer science, engineering, librarian, law, and thankfully, management and entrepreneurship. Some of the strengths INTJ’s have, that I feel I also have, are high self-confidence, hard-working, determination, and a jack-of-all-trades. I believe that these personality traits are the main ones that enable me to maintain a high GPA in school while also working multiple jobs. In the future, when I have a career in business, I hope these traits will allow me to function in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Some of the weaknesses possessed by INTJ’s, that I feel I possess, are arrogance, overly analytical, and clueless in human relationships, especially romantic ones. (16personalities) At times, I will often assume I know better than somebody else without any real evidence of this, except for my own confidence in my abilities. When it comes to socializing, as an analytical introvert, I will often look to deep into actions and be unsure of how to reciprocate. In the work environment, this will likely make it difficult for me to form relationships with colleagues and interacting with customers. Thankfully, as I get older I appear to be growing out of my shell and slowly becoming more extroverted, so hopefully that trend continues as I progress in college and into my career.
