Most of the work educators attempts to do in any program are necessary constitutes that may help determine the usefulness of the program and the number of benefits for the children and their families. Besides having knowledge about child development, educators need to use a curriculum designed for the active learning environment. Each document came out under professional educators, and each one has its own interest for any program. Every document directs early learning environments for children from zero to eight years old.
How has the CECE improved the quality of the profession? What common elements do you see in the ELECT and CECE and how, if any, has it raised the quality of early learning programs?

As we live in a country that welcomes many immigrants every day, it makes early learning centers to become more multicultural. ELECT provides directions and uniformity in practice with newcomers that may be most susceptible due to ancestral and cultural changes. It values the interconnectedness of children’s development and certainly highlights the significance of supportive interactions and relationships between children and their caregivers. I believe ELECT is a developmental outline that supports educators in the process of perceiving children’s play, and acquiring the skills to plan activities that will support extra education. I think whether or not the educator chooses to follow ELECT, it is good to have an understanding of the outline if for no other reason than to strengthen and authenticate their existing practices.
The College of Early Childhood Educators it is there for the interest of the public. The CECE purposes to protect the public from ineffectual early childhood educators who may misuse their professional position. As a regulatory body, the CECE sets requirements for individuals to enter the profession and for the practice of the profession. The Child Development Center of College of San Mateo provides early care and educational programs for children between the ages of 3 to 5 years old. Children are divided into classrooms with a “master” teacher, a “regular” teacher, and two or three “associate” teachers. Klara attended Classroom, “A,” a stimulating and well-resourced classroom. Klara was observed for two hours on Monday from 9 am to 11 am and for two hours on Wednesday from 9 am to 11 am. During these two hours, classroom activities consisted of “free time,” “story time,” and an outside “play time.” A “master” teacher, a “regular” teacher, and two “associate” teachers were present during observations. Additionally, a total of eighteen children were in attendance during the observed days.
Children who participate in quality early learning programs tend to be more successful later in school. They are also most socially and emotionally competent. In addition those children show higher verbal and intellectual development during early childhood than children who do not participate in early learning programs (A Parent’s Guide to Choosing Quality Child Care). In order for a child care center to be a quality center they must have an educated staff, a program accreditation, and good health and safety practices. Parents choose high quality child care for many reasons. These programs prepare children for school in which they gain intellectual and social skills. Also the programs are a good opportunity for children because they receive age-appropriate learning materials and activities to let the children learn and grow.

In this reflective analysis of NAEYC Standard three, Observing, Documenting, and Assessing to Support Young Children and Families, I will first reflect on my growth, as an early childhood professional, during my course of study. Secondly, I will address my strengths related to the standard and discuss areas in need of further professional development. Finally, I will outline my goals for future growth and development. Early childhood educators demonstrate professional competence by understanding the role of assessment and the various methods of assessing student learning, including observation, documentation and standardized testing. These assessment strategies, along with partnerships with parents, can support students in their development and growth, by informing instruction and evaluating instructional practices.

Dr. Seuss wrote, “You’re off to great places. Today is your day. Your mountain is waiting. So get on your Way”. The role of the early childhood educator, while rewarding, can sometimes feel as is you are climbing a mountain. Educators have to consider how to implement curriculum, instruction, management, and technology in the classroom. Educators also have to provide an environment where all children feel safe and nurtured. When creating a course of action, educators have to consider their role as well as the role of the student, parent, and community.
How one plans to tackle all of the challenges will help them when making decisions in the future. To many people, early childhood education is unnecessary. I realize that going into this teaching field, I will most likely have to interact with adults who will argue that it is useless. There are a lot of thorny issues surrounding the professionalization of early childhood education (“The Challenges of Professionalizing ECE Workforce”). I am prepared to talk to adults about my beliefs and the importance of the program. Early childhood education types of educational approaches to teaching children. These approaches have been based on a teachers own beliefs and values. Also, the theories and philosophies of many theorists who have based their research on early childhood education. This essay will focus on the three aspects that I find important from my own early childhood education philosophy statement. These aspects are, inclusion in the early childhood education service, the impact of social interactions on a child’s learning, and the importance of providing a safe and stimulating environment for children. As an early childhood educator my job is not to simple play with children. I must plan, provide and supervise all while “playing” with my students. The classroom serves as the physical environment for the children for most of their waking hours. These classrooms need to be attractive and function effectively. Concerns for any early childhood educator should always include space, equipment and materials used, outdoor space and the daily schedule to ensure that all students are provided ample opportunities to learn and grow within a safe and secure environment.
The modern early childhood curriculum refers to the experiences gathered throughout a child’s infancy and beyond. It incorporates everyday interactions with family members within a wide spectrum of environments. Such interactions can be spontaneous or structured however, it is important that they are established within a supportive, safe and nurturing setting in order for the child to flourish in terms of their mental and physical ability ( O’Hagen,and Smith (1998). We refer to such a curriculum as Child centered as equal emphasis must be made on the child’s learning through out infancy as it is within a formal education setting.

When I first heard the term ECE, my first thought was, YAY! I will be learning education content intended for young children. Specifically, formal school age children, kindergarten through fifth grade. Kindergarten is when education starts, right? I had always assumed “early childhood” to be a term used to describe children five to eight. To me, the term early childhood education (ECE) was primarily in regards to the education of elementary children. My understanding of early education, was constricted to my personal experiences with the term elementary, and how I synonymously used it with early education.
Early childhood education plays a key role in a child’s academic development because he or she learns soft skills, job skills, and develop positive traits. Preschool is not like kindergarten, but instead a stepping-stone that prepares young students for the years of schooling they will have later in life. As more schools began to open families wanted to be able to verify that programs would benefit and protect their children. In response, the National Association for the Education of Young Children was made to help families find the best care for their children, by providing the early childhood educators with training and ensuring the quality of children’s daily experiences. The first few years of a child's life are very important in learning development. Research has shown early development, cognition, and proper health can help minimize poor outcomes in their future. The early childhood development programs are designed to help the child, the parents or the family as a whole.
