Lack of exercise is the cause of most health-related issues today. Americans are becoming ill every second from lack of exercise, yet nothing is being done to prevent these diseases. Diet plans and exercise programs are advertised in every corner, yet they are ignored. Many disorders and diseases are preventable, and even curable without the aid of modern technology. Regardless, the illnesses are at an all time high and show no sign of declining. What many individuals fail to realize is how essential fitness is to life. It is imperative in order to sustain a healthy lifestyle for many reasons. Exercise is a vital component of life. Exercise can contribute to a healthier mental and physical lifestyle. The human body is meant to stay in motion, regardless of whether the motion comes from vigorous exercise or simply walking around a shopping mall. Regular exercise can reduce the risk several disorders and disease; including heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, and diabetes. In addition, it can help improve an individual's appearance and delay the aging process. Exercise reduces stress, lifts moods, and improves sleeping behaviors. It is an easy and effective way to live a healthier life, yet the concept is continually ignored. Just about every bodily system is effected by fitness. The respiratory system is one of the main systems that are greatly enhanced by fitness. By maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the body's ability to uptake and deliver oxygen to working muscles is improved dramatically. In addition, the circulatory system is improved because through fitness, an individual's heart rate becomes lowered allowing the heart to pump more blood per beat. Fitness is an important and necessary part of life. It can decrease the likelihood of diseases, disorders, injuries, and several other sicknesses. It also contributes to a mentally healthier lifestyle.
