It is commonly known that everyone should spend at least one hour a day getting some sort of exercise. Being physically in shape can overall reduce health risks and expand one’s own life span in a positive way. As being a college student who works out daily, I completely agree with this statement because exercising has brought upon me adequate amount of health benefits as well as bestow positive mentality. It has been also reported that many elderly adults has been told by doctors to exercise as often as possible, for it helps reduce problems such as heart diseases, cholesterol and even cancer. Many younger adults also participate in exercising daily to achieve the toned or muscular body that they desire. This makes perfect sense because I don’t know one person who doesn’t want a well-defined six pack, especially when it comes to beach season. However, disputes has been brought upon regarding the most effective way to exercise in order to gain the best results. It has been researched that the specific time in the day that someone decides to exercise can alter a variety of results. Although the time in day can be portrayed as a frivolous factor in having an impact on one’s body, know the appropriate time to exercise can actually improve the efficiency of the work out that one puts in. It’s been a custom for many people to hit the gym or exercise later at night due to conflicting class times and jobs. But in reality, the best time for anyone to exercise is early in the morning right after you wake up and have a good breakfast. Working out early in the morning provides more health and mental benefits than exercising at any other times of the day. Exercising early in the day is the most beneficial because it provides faster metaboli... ... middle of paper ... ...y face. It’s been worldly known that exercising has a positive effect on the mind, body and overall health of an individual. However, exercising in the morning allows for these effects to be the most effective. By stimulating one’s mind, metabolism and energy to its ideal levels in the morning can allow anyone to be in their prime for the day, no matter what age. Exercising can be performed anytime in the day, but there is no need to waste any of the positive affects gained from it. Exercising at any other times in the day rather than in the morning will allow the individual to experience the ideal effect, but why not allow them to experience it the whole day from the time you wake up until going to bed. It is important to practice routinely morning exercises because it allows anyone to be the best they can be, no matter what situations that may stand in their way.
Pate et al. (1995) stated that physical activity is needed for health promotion and disease prevention. They also stated that every adult should do at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise everyday if possible. Moderate intensity exercising includes activities such as brisk walking and cycling as stated by the Department of Health (2011). They also state that regular physical activity will improve a person’s mental health as it will increase self esteem and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. Physical wellbeing is also enhanced by an increase in physical activity. The World Health Organisation (WHO) (2002) found that in developed countries 20% of heart disease and 10% of strokes are due to physical inactivity. Furthermore a lack of physical activity is found to cause 3% of all diseases.
Staying healthy does not only mean to eat a healthy diet, but also to be active and to provide our body with stamina so it can fight various diseases. According to Myers (2003) around a quarter of a million deaths in the United States are caused by insufficient physical activity. The US Public Health Service (1996) has provided enough evidence towards the effect of physical exercise on cardiovascular (e.g. coronary heart disease) and non-cardiovascular health (hypertension, osteoporosis, colon cancer etc.). They followed a group of people for several years and found a positive correlation between the amount of participants’ physical activity and their health problems. So how much exercise is just enou...
People often go through their life working-out and going to the gym to get “buff.” For ninety-five percent of Americans that do work out, few can say that they have pushed themselves as hard as possible, but I have the distinct, and often painful, pleasure of knowing that there is another way to work out. This option is unlike any other that I have ever personally been through; and is a way that I would not wish on any average American. 4:55 a.m. Seventeen degrees Fahrenheit, a mild breeze of ten miles per-hour-- for the fifth day in a row and second consecutive month, it is time for me to wake up, make the face-numbing, core-hardening walk through the snow to the Mildred and Louis Lasch Football Building.
Working out doesn't have to be a chore, it can actually be a place of peace and comfort. Exercising has been changed from a social norm to an activity on the
According to the CDC, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, adults should do at least 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity exercise, or 75 minutes week of intense aerobic activity. Everyone should try to do at least the recommended amount of weekly exercise. Not exercising can be detrimental to one’s health. Exercising moderately for at least 150 minutes a week or working out intensely for 75 minutes can add, on average, 3.4 years to one’s lifespan, while people who do not exercise have the highest premature death rate. Being active has both mental and physical benefits, adding exercise to your routine can create a happier, healthier lifestyle. Exercise, no matter how strenuous or simple, is an important activity for all people.
The value placed on the importance of winning in professional sports has hit an all-time high. The astronomical amount of money being spent in the entertainment field of athletics has dictated a win-at-all-costs mentality that has trickled all the way down to negatively affect our youngest athletes - the prepubescent. The athletic world has forever been exploiting our youth as a source of athletic potential, sacrificing the health, safety and welfare of these child-athletes to satiate the intense nationalistic pride of the country and more dishearteningly in the name of the Almighty Dollar. This has caused coaches and athletes to take drastic measures which are sometimes illegal and usually unethical in order to improve performance levels. One of the most controversial training practices center around the impact of strength training in prepubescent children.
You just have to maintain physical fitness or you go to the gym in the morning or do not make any difference in the evening, but you will see that no motive does not decide the time of the gym. Both have their advantages and their disadvantages. Today we will talk about this in detail, and will try to give you all this information so that you will take this decision making body or gym to lose weight, what is the right time?
A good workout begins long before you enter the weight room. There are basic habits that may help improve your health and your workout. The first and most important routine you must get involved in is eating healthy. A diet high in carbohydrates will increase your energy levels and improve your productivity. A second habit you should adhere to is water consumption. You should have at least eight glasses of water per day. This number should increase if you are working out because much of it will be lost in perspiration. Studies show that increased water consumption helps prevent cramps and keep your heart rate at a healthy level. A third habit you should carry out is simply getting enough sleep. In our modern, fast paced society humans often do not get enough sleep. If you do not obtain seven to eight hours of sleep every day your body will not be rested for a workout, and you will not be able to recover fully from previous workouts. Forming these specific routines will ensure you to be ready to workout.
Doing this will help my health in the long run and also in the short run. One way that it will help in the short run will be that it will improve my mood “because when you exercise, you’re actually subjecting yourself to a low-level form of stress by raising your heart rate and triggering a burst of hormonal changes (Stryker, pg. 1).” Monitoring stress is a very high incentive, especially for college students who are stressed almost all the time due to the immense pressure placed on them during the academic school year. A second way would be that it would help regulate and improve my ability to sleep. Sleep is something many students lack or do not get enough, but exercising and working out can “improve the quality of nighttime sleep, especially when done on a regular basis (Lifestyle, pg. 1)”. Research done on determining whether this is true has already been done and has shown to be correct so far. Exercise can do so many things to your body that many people are most likely not even aware
“With the exception of nutrition, more fallacies exist in the area of exercise than in any other area of health” (Dintiman, Stone, Pennington, & Davis, 1984). Exercise produces significant physical and mental benefits and is extremely vital to life. It substantially improves stamina, strengthens and tones muscles, helps prevent diseases, enhances flexibility, controls weight, and prolongs the quality of life. In order to gain all the benefits from exercise and be truly healthy, it is very important to understand and take action with both types of exercise: anaerobic and aerobic. With the combination of aerobic and anaerobic exercise, an individual will greatly increase their overall health and wellness significantly.

Let’s say, you wake up, and you open your eyes. You are grumpy and it’s hard for you to get up. You are very stiff and fatigue takes over your whole body. Even if your day is already busy always try to make to to workout. All you need are 30 minutes or more. Working out once a day improves a person’s mood, energy, and sleep.
Adding exercises into one’s daily routines can change their whole lifestyle. Many people look at exercise as being something just for people who want to lose weight or to become muscle bound, but there are a great deal of benefits that can be received from exercising regularly. Of course gaining muscle and losing fat are the two most popular reasons that usually attract people to the gym, but they make up a small part of the potential benefits that can be achieved with exercise. There are several ways in which I have benefited in my life from exercising regularly, besides just making me bigger and stronger. It has made me become more organized, helped me make better decisions, and motivated me to take on new challenges in life.
One of the best ways in how people can improve their overall mood, keep their bones healthy and even live longer, is by being an active person. Fred DeVito stated that “if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn 't change you”; however most people just want exercise just to have a fit body and be healthier without knowing great results. Other effects that exercise has into the body are normalization of glucose, insulin and leptin levels. In other words not only will it make the appearance in a person’s life to look great, but their entire body will have an extraordinary response. In order to have a more fulfilling and enjoyable life, those who are out of shape should participate in regular fitness schedule reginert.
Sedentary lifestyles have greatly contributed to obesity, and to the diseases affecting to the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. It has been shown that physical inactivity reduces our strength, results in low energy levels, and causes obesity. It is therefore very essential to ensure we that lead a physically active life. Exercising regularly is the key to a healthy life. However, this is hampered by factors like lack of motivation, time and money.
