In today’s society, a common person can have deprecated happiness just by going through their social applications and seeing the life of their associates. Social media is the go­to place to celebrate achievements but for those who never achieve the things they want or more, social media makes them feel as if they failed in some areas of their life. Although other people lives might seem as if it is the dream life, think about what is behind their happy lifestyle and the trouble they might go through too. People might see the happiness that others have but they do not see the scene behind their happiness. Those people create a false sense of happiness and only wants contention on these social applications. Although happiness may be the main context of social media it also belittles happiness from the ones that are not as happy on these applications. …show more content…

There are many reasons why people go to social media applications, one of two reasons can be because they make people happier and also because it gives them a chance to express their self without the second thoughts of others. In "The Happiness of Pursuit” Jeffrey Kugler, the author, states, “All human beings may come equipped with the pursuit­of­ happiness impulse” (Kugler 26). Happiness is mainly demonstrated throughout social media because users would go out their way to achieve their happiness that they earned. The social application also gave users a voice to speak up towards the topics they believe in. Sharon Begley states in “The Pursuit of Happiness”, “What is absolutely not allowable is sadness” (Begley 456). When given the opportunity to speak up for themselves they most often mention happy comments upon a given situation, filtering out all the bad things and saying what is on their mind.
