Being famous, having lots of money, having the biggest house is how some people envision a happy life. However, that's not always the case. Happiness is just a nine letter word but it's something we all seek in our lives. The pursuit of happiness is a fundamental part of our society as we know it. Human beings have the gift of experiencing and changing our own emotions due to what we can influence. The Declaration Of Independence lists the pursuit of happiness as an “unalienable right.” In our lives today we believe having the newest phone is the way to be happy or getting the freshest pair of shoes, but these trivial things don't come close in terms of happiness a day with friends or family can give you. You can't buy happiness from a supermarket or Walmart. Even our biology is built for us to be happy, passion and love are examples of biological things that make us pursue and achieve our happiness. Happiness today is seen as something superficial, having the biggest house, the nicest car, the most well paying job, when the data shows the opposite. Happiness is found with true enjoyment not trivial items or a petty game of who has the best shoes or clothes. A happy life is a life where you yourself are happy, not when you seek to be the richest, most famous, or the most popular. Happy lives are built using love, passion, and friends, and family. Morrie showed us that a happy life should be dedicated to your passions, your love, and your friends and family. People should pursue their own happy lives doing what they love and what they are passionate about. If you want a happy life chase it, go after the things that make you happy and you'll have the key to a happy life. Our lives are what we make of them, we are here to find our ways and what makes us happy. We as humans need to find our purpose, our passion, what we want to live
