Tesco
For Tesco they have a lot of different departments within the business. To make sure that everyone knows the role that they have they make different charts. The main one is an organisation chart that shows who is in control of who and which departments have authority. Here is a chart that Tesco would use:

This is needed to make sure that everyone in the company knows who to turn to if they have a problem as well as who is the boss and who has the span of control. The span of control is the number of people that an individual has responsibility for in an organisation. In Tesco one of the biggest examples of this is with the fresh food section manager. Within their roles they have four other departments to look after. The span of control is high for this department whereas personnel manager only have one other section. Here the control isn’t as high.

Ownership of business
Tesco’s is a PLC, which means a public limited company, as they sell shares on the stock markets. As it is a PLC there are a few benefits and drawback that they may have. Benefits are limited liability, increased capital as public can buy the shares and shares increase the company if they are successful. The drawbacks are many regulations to comply with, accounts are public knowledge and shareholders may sell shares if the dividends are poor. Customer Service
Making sure that they give each of the patients the best possible customer service helps the hospital to run at a decent rate as they will be more likely to help them when they see what is wrong with them. This is important as they need to try and keep everyone happy within the bed and the ones that go to A&E as well.
Patients
When the patients come into the hospital they need to make sure that they give them the best possible treatment to get them back out of the hospital for the next patient. They need to make sure that they get them better so they can look after other patients within the hospital as well. It is important that they do this as they need to make sure that everyone keeps safe and is put into the correct ward. Having they rules can improve the way the hospital is ran.

Laws and Legislations are in place to promote equality, they apply to everyone and by law every individual must abide by these rules. The purpose of laws and legislations is that every individual is protected by them as others may discriminate against them and by putting these laws in place then it reduces the amount of discriminations and promotes equality. Just like any other setting, laws and legislations apply to hospitals as well. They are vital in a hospital setting as it can affect many factors in the hospital from the way nurses work to how data within computer systems are protected. In this report, I will be explaining how laws and legislations affect hospital setting and how they can bring positive reinforcement into a hospital setting.
Hospitality is a major part of working a hospital. I feel we need to generous and friendly to everyone that we come in contact with. This includes the patients, their families, and fellow co-workers. Those that end up in the hospital are usually there because there is something wrong with them that renders them incapable of taking care of themselves. Our job is to not only to treat them but to take care of them as though they are our own family. We need to be generous and tend to their needs whether they be medical, spiritual, emotional, or physical within reason. We want the patients to take care of themselves as much as possible in order to maintain their independence and dignity. Being friendly to the patients and family will help them to relax. Being in the hospital as a patient or the family of the patient is very stress inducing and they need us to be an advocate for them and try to help them to keep a level head. In some cases, we are all the patients have and we need to make sure that we have a “friendship” with

Since this was my first time visiting a hospital for educational purposes, I felt it was worth my time going inside a hospital and observe real events that are actually happening. I would need to admit before arriving to the Greater El Monte Community Hospital emergency room, I was unsure of whether I should have chosen a convalescent home or a local health club but a hospital has a group of doctors and nurses working together to treat patients and save lives. It is no doubt that the jobs of doctors and nurses aren’t easy but they are trained to use a lot of their efforts and resources to get the patients conditions back in control. I believe visiting the Greater El Monte Community Hospital would provide me with the information I needed to acquire for my research
