T.D. Jakes is one of the greatest leaders of our time in my opinion, because he is a leader and great inspirational speaker. His focus is on making a difference in the world. I look up him as a leader, and I support him in his efforts to create a change for good in our community. It is always good to see or hear other people’s views on life because honestly I would listen to him before I listen to my parents. He works with people in the community and doesn’t judge anyone. It is better to hear it from T.D. Jakes, because I know that he wasn’t always at the top; he started from the bottom. He tries to prevent people from making bad decisions because he has made the same types of decisions and he knows what the consequences of making those choices are. He has great relationships with other people. This can be seen in the size of the crowds at the different events and seminars he presents. People all around the world support the works and efforts of T.D. Jakes because they know they are supporting a true leader with strong faith and moral values. He doesn’t care about the spot light, he does things for other people because that is what he wants to do. A lot of things that he does, he does not get paid back for, but that doesn’t matter. He cares about making a positive effect on other people’s lives. “Thomas Dexter “T.D.” Jakes, Sr. was born on June 9, 1957. He is from South Charleston, West Virginia. As a teenager, T.D. Jakes cared for his father and worked in the local industries where he grew up. Feeling a call to the ministry, he enrolled in West Virginia State University and began preaching part-time in local churches, but he soon dropped out of the university. The novel A Separate Peace by John Knowles and “A Poison Tree” by William Blake, display how one must forgive their friends for forgiveness is the only way to separate friends from enemies. After an accident, in A Separate Peace Finny, his best friend forgives him immediately, while the rest of their class suspect Gene had malicious intent. Similarly, William Blake forgives his friend promptly in his poem, nonetheless, he holds a grudge against his enemy till his anger explodes. Both works show how a powerful friendship can overcome adversity; conversely, those distrusted face anger.
“Leadership is a process in which many can engage, not a position that only a few can hold.

The chapter “Clarify What’s Important to you” introduces several successful leaders and many praiseworthy values to me. Although each leader comes from different environments and possesses different characters, all of them keep their precious values in mind and persist in chasing their ideal lives. Even if each value can be interpreted by different meanings, they all lead encourage individuals to become better.

The motivation and tendency of people to forgive others remains an important topic of discussion. In today’s society most people at some period have experienced feeling of un forgiveness towards friend, or relatives. “Forgiveness was defined as the ability to relinquish of resentment towards others” (Baskin & Enright, 2004, p. 80).
“In order to be a good leader, there are two things to remember. Lead from the Front and always set the Example. From these two leadership principles, everything else will fall into place.”
I stand among many of you not as an average person but as a leader. I have work hard to be right where I am just like people before me such as martin Luther king jr, Malala and many more. As many of us I grew up by the wise words of a famous person and it goes like this “a leader is someone who demonstrates what’s possible.”
Transformational leadership also integrates well with a biblical worldview because both advocate valuing followers as well as leaders, the importance of ethical behavior, the need to forgive and learn from mistakes, and the value of a high moral example. Kouzes and Posner advocate leaders having a “moral authority to lead” (2007, p. 41), practicing personal accountability and working to improve all aspects of their follower’s lives. This others-centered leadership approach fits well in the Christ centered atmosphere of a Christian school.
“There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.” Corrie ten Boom has spoken these words more times then she can count on her fingers; they encouraged her through heartbreak and pain, World War II and the risk of hiding Jews, concentration camps, and even the death of her sister. Corrie was brave when others were weak; she fought when others hid. She always knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that she was supposed to help others when they could not help themselves. Through troubles and tribulations, foreign stranger lives saved and loved family lives lost, Corrie ten Boom stood strong and persevered to live a bold life, and have an outstanding ministry. Corrie experienced one of the darkest times in the history of the world, but she strove to be a light that shone through.
Although written for church leadership, everyday church members would also benefit from understanding the concepts that Dawn is directing at God-empowered leaders. Ms. Dawn's work is predominantly scholarly, and she cites several other works at great length.... ... middle of paper ... ...
She seeks the best in each and everyone person she meets. Helping people reach his or her full potential as God created him and her to become is this transformational leader’s goal in life. She knows that to become the one of the best leaders, she has to remain committed to renew learning daily, seek mentorship, and be flexible to change (Kouzes & Posner, 2012, p. 334). Self-development and honest evaluation assists her in personal growth. Kouzes and Posner (2012) continue, “No matter how good you are, you have to always want to be
Age of Enlightenment When Aristotle famously said: "Virtue is a state of character concerned with choice, being determined by rational principle as determined by the moderate man of practical wisdom", not many could fathom the message intended for during his time. In fact, his ideas of decisions based on logical thinking were largely rejected by the Greek public in favor for traditions. Fast forward close to two thousand years, the Age of Enlightenment has arrived. Francis Bacon instigated a revolution in the human thought in the 17th century. The thinkers began to question the rigid traditional ideas and institutions in place using reasoning and science.
In society and culture, leadership has the paradigm of a great and powerful person, who makes change in a miraculous and unconventional way. Since the beginning of time, people have completed heroic acts against evil and sin, but in many cases it is those who have the lesser appearance and humble disposition who have established the greatest acts of heroism. In the Bible, the Israelites and Hebrews waited for God to send a high and mighty king to save them from the oppression of the Roman government, but instead they were blessed with a little baby boy, born of poor parents who grew up to be a carpenter, yet won over death giving all humanity the opportunity to save the most important aspect of life; their soul. Leaders are always are depicted as government officials or society’s finest, but it is more important to treasure and follow a leader whose life you can duplicate because of their character, because their life pushes you to be better and elevates you to be a better person. Jesus Christ not only is the greatest leader of the church, but has the greatest life for society and humanity to pursue.
